Love it, tortoise loves it. Only thing is that eventually you will understand why a lot of people had to modify and cut out panels in the bottom section. You can’t see your animal and if they flip over you can’t see them or get to them very well. I just cut out the middle panel and added wire. But other than that we enjoy it. I have a cat that is loves her tortoise bother and will sit on top and watch him for hours so the wire holds the weight

I bought this for my russian tortoise who loves it! He has become much more friendly and enjoys digging around and going up and down his ramp. He also loves the house and sleeps in it nightly. It was easy to put together as the instructions were really clear!The only thing is you need a power drill to put the screws in.I also recommend not screwing the the house/ ramp part and middle mesh cover part in for ease of cleaning. As the directions point to drilling them to the base structure, which if you do, cleaning will be impossible.I still give it 5 starts because it actually allows for the tortoises to feel safe, secure, and provides plenty of room for them to walk around. Its sturdy and safe plus really cute looking.Absolutely recommend this terrarium to anyone with a smaller tortoise!

Pet house came with pungent smell. How to describe that? A smell of cedar mix with construction glue. This tortoise house is not made of cedar AKA Chinese fir but not the fir you think about or whatever they listed on the website. Do your research and this material is toxic for reptiles. Sent the item back and they didn’t refund me the full price I paid. A total ripoff. Spend your money somewhere else.

This is a great size for our Russian tortoise. Plenty of room to explore, dig, etc. Like others, we didn't screw in the top to the bottom. There was no need and it will make cleaning easier. We also got glued magnets on the roofs instead of securing the hinges to make opening them easier.

I got this cage for my baby Red Foot Tortoise to have as an outdoor turnout. He loves to climb around in his current tank, and I'm excited to see him go through to the different levels. It was super easy to put together; the instructions were great, and the parts were very well organized. The only problem I foresee is that the upper level is made out of particle board; which will not last super well outside. It also might be a little difficult to clean out the lower level. The video that is shown in the ad is a little misleading, as it shows the house being easily lifted off of the plastic bottom. Truthfully, you have to screw the house onto the bottom in order to put the cage together.

I read through all the reviews before purchasing this product. I decided the modifications suggested by another customer was worth the overall purchase. HOWEVER, there were what seemed to be some modifications that solved 2 major issues. The ramp had two significant problems. The ramp gap at the top and the lack of stability/traction for criters to keep a grip going up the darn thing. That being said, I was happy to see some modifications that I believe solved the issue. The ramp is no longer attached using hooks but rather hinges keeping it flush against the wood. They also added a rubber matting on the ramp, adding a non-slick surface for traction.There are still some things that could make this product even better. Having more access to the inside of the enclosure would make interacting with the animals easier. And cleaning easier.We left both the roof areas unattached and most likely will be getting some more hinges to allow us to open/close wire section without issues.Another issue was the smell of chemicals when opening it. I highly suggest letting it air out before trying to assemble. I also ran across wet glue while assembling.Other than that, I love the product. The slight tweaks you may need to make for it to do what you want is worth the overall price.I suggest reading all the long reviews. And keep in mind the ramp issue seems to be resolved.
