Cotton is a natural and renewable, sustainable fiber that has been used in quilts for centuries. The cotton fiber is strong and yet soft and has proven itself to last. Quilts are not destined for a landfill, yet quilters are conscious of the environment and are making choices to ‘do no harm’ to the earth. I am in the process of hand quilting a twin size quilt with this batting,I don't remember exactly how much I paid for this, but it was significantly less than a similar batt by Hobbs. One thing I like is it comes folded, rather than rolled, and without the lumpiness of Hobbs. It needles nicely, but every so often I notice a little filament of poly bearding through the surface. I won't know how it washes up until I'm finished quilting, and that may be awhile. I promise to amend my review at that time.Pros: lays flat, needles nicely, good valueCons: slight bearding
