It may seem strange to most that I gave a five star rating for a product that I had a to return for a replacement twice, but there’s a good reason why.The first two mirror dash cams I received were fine with the exception of a problem where they would occasionally (every 2 to 3 days) not recognize the data card when the card was indeed inserted into the cam. I worked with Jasmine (customer service) in an attempt to diagnose the problem; I updated the firmware, long formatted the data card, etc. None of these actions permanently resolved the issue. The third time I was sent a cam with a Forsee microSD card (as the previous cams had) along with a Lexor microSD card. Since inserting the Lexor card three weeks ago, the problem has never reoccurred so I'm convinced the problem was related the Forsee cards the whole time and not the cam. Each time I reached out to Customer Service (Jasmine) she was ALWAYS prompt in answering questions within 48 hours and demonstrating a high level of concern that I was happy with the service I was getting. The return process for the first two cams was very easy and more than once I was offered a refund if I would have preferred it.I originally selected the Pelsee P12 Pro Max because I wanted a mirror dash cam and their offering included the features I wanted along with a higher quality rear camera than is available from most other companies. And if you’re going to be using your rear camera as a rear view mirror alternative, then you absolutely want a good one. In summary, I gave the Pelsee 12 pro max a 5 star review because the cam and customer service are both great. One thing that I did to make a great cam even better was to put an anti-glare film on the mirror. Since Pelsee does not offer the film, I ordered it from Wolfbox and it fit perfectly. Well worth the $6.99 purchase price.

Amazing product & great customer service. Clarity of camera is amazing. Installation was super easy and it works like a charm. I have been using it as my rear view mirror and its just perfect.Only one issue I was facing is for changing the speed unit from MPH to KPH. I emailed support and they provided me with a Firmware update. Again, super simple to install & took less than 30 seconds. Now I have everything I needed. Will buy another one for my wife.

I bought this in Nov 2022 and used it on my Chevy Orlando, then on my Grand Caravan. Writing this review at the end of July 2023Installation:Installation of mirror is the easiest part.Installation of the rear camera can be tricky depending entirely on your vehicle, location of your reverse light (if you choose to hook that cable up that is).In my Chevy Orlando, I chose to connect it inside rear window. This had its own Pros, especially during the snow months. I just had to make sure that tiny area for the camera was clean and I was able to see in the rear view mirror clearly! You CANNOT mount the rear camera upside down and flip the image in the screen menu. YOU CANNOT. Which means you can only mount it in ONE DIRECTION with its butterfly mount pointing upwards.Usage:The split screen function probably most accurately and clearly shows the camera's video in the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio without distorting it to fit on 12inch x 2inch (mirror) screenThe voice function has never properly worked for me but that's not important to me.Don't bother using the Date and Time function, its just going to backlight the entire screen black and then show the time in one corner. Makes it impossible to use as a mirror. At the time I bought this, the backup lines were not available but they are available with a firmware update. Not particularly useful though.Reasons to Reconsider:The biggest CON for me with this product is honestly that the rear camera does not seem to cover the claimed 150 degree angle, it almost gives the appearance of being zoomed in . If I'm parking, I will see that I'm about to hit the car behind me but there will actually be a good 2-3 ft gab in between.Yesterday, I angled it downwards to be able to see the bumper as a reference point. I literally had to point the darn thing to the ground to be able to see the bumper. I will post pictures on this when I get more frustrated :-PI will try replacing the back camera with a different one that's 170 degrees and see if that helps. Also, when activated with the red wire (wired to the reverse light), the screen shows the backup screen in that distorted 6:1 ratio (wide look on the 12" x 2" screen), which you can swipe up or down with your finger to view the remaining parts. There should be an option to view it in a box in the proper aspect ratio so its easier for the brain to compute the distance while backing up.ITS GREAT IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS FOR FRONT AND BACK DASHCAM RECORDING, NOT SO GOOD AS AS A BACK UP CAMERA !

I've been using it for a month now, very happy with it. Installed the rear-cam to back of my 17ft vintage trailer through the trailerPro:-Cameras work great, you get what you pay and also cams can only catch so much, front cam is by far better quality but no complaints in the back I can see all I need- Peace that I can see our the back/lane changes much safer, and recording people doing dumb things means if an insurance claim came up I'd feel resourced.-GPS works great, I stuck mine in the middle of the windshield at the top above my rearview mirror and never notice it- easy to use, simple display & buttons, simple voice commands work, *must press button on screen to activate voice command- screen can be brightenedExtras:-256GB SanDisk microSD card (format on first use in the Pelsee cam unit)- I used Pixelman 2x 16.5ft 2.5mm male to female extensions to run rear camera thru 8ft SUV + 17ft trailer- Highly recommend buying always on power supply otherwise your settings time/date will always be lost when you turn off the car and that would be difficult for an insurance claim.I went with Redtiger F7N dash cam always on power kit with 2x fuse lines, USB-C (attaches to usb-C pelsee dash cam charge port) https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09WCTZ3Y8?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title*Make sure you pick usb C charger for this model of Pelsee dashcam setup !*You need the 2 fuse line taps in this kit order to do always on charging, display and parking mode properly, Redtiger has lots of reviewers with instructions and the customer service is great too!Cons:- Rearview style mirror camera attachment means original mirror may be too heavy and flop down, I used a rubber band to support, looking for a longer term solution- Rear camera quality is good-ok, if you wanted the same quality as the front I'm sure one could upgrade to a different camera, I find it perfect fine- The mirror that covers the original mirror is not as good in my opinion, seems darker, doesn't matter as I don't use it a lot with towing all the time but I may pick up a second rear cam and install that to my SUV so I can always have rear cam on instead of the rearview mirror!- Wired, must run wires through the car & trailer, wifi/Bluetooth is an option other brands now, more $$$, take your time running wires under the interior car paneling with the tool & a flat screwdriver, double back on longer wire in the GPS line or cut & splice it.- usb-C charging wire: if you want to keep the original charge method and run to the back of your SUV DC charge port (I did this while waiting for the always on charging kit to arrive) the Pelsee camera charge wire isn't very long, I just made it to the rear port but couldn't hide all the wire under the paneling) ** I wanted to keep my 2 front DC ports open thus I ran to the back, if using a front seat port you'd be fine.- Wires are short, buy 2.5mm head extensions even if you think you won't need them you can return laterRear cams take some adjusting to, especially if you go from rear cam mirror to not/regular mirror, give yourself a second to adjust to the change and make sure the actual mirror is lined up for safe driving visibility!I didn't install the red cable for backup cam distance "lines", I would need to tap into the rear-lights from the trailer to do so and didnt want to deal with it. Not an issue at all, the backup lines are by preference/optional

I purchased this after running into a small accident and was blamed for a mistake I did not make. I wish I had purchased this sooner, and that my incident was recorded. This will give me peace of mind now that I have installed it.The packaging was really nice and it sure made the product feel like a premium quality camera. The instructions were straightforward forward and installation was not too difficult. Since I already have a backup camera on my vehicle I did not hook up the auto-reverse wire. It has a really impressive 4k resolution camera. The front and the back camera provides a full view of all your surroundings. I felt that its night vision was really good and more than you would expect from your dash cam. It gets the job done. If you have trouble installing it they have a youtube page with detailed video on installation. It does come with a 64gb memory card but I did upgrade to a higher capactity card since I wanted to record and loop recording for longer period. It also comes with the GPS function which is quite useful. I do live in Hawaii so the weather here is almost always clear. I am not sure how this works in snows or heavy rain. The smartphone app is user-friendly. This does have a voice control which once you get used to is helpful while driving. But I mostly have been using the touch screen since it is quite easy and straight forward. While looking for a dashcam I read that Pelse had a really good customer service. I have not had an issues with my Pelse so I have not contacted them yet but it gives you a peace of mind to know that the customer service is good when you spend $200+ on a dash cam. It is hot in Hawaii and my car is normally parked out in the sun but I have not had an issues with heat.Very happy with the product. 5 stars!

I bought this dash cam for our new SUV. We used to have the traditional dash cam which sticked on the window. The old one always fell off. This one is perfect to use. It won't fall at all. It looks normal from outside. It makes the view even wider and more clearly. I love the night version. I can see the driving situation more clearly than before. I also tried the voice control function. It is amazing. I don't need to use hand to operate during the driving. The parking assistance funtion make me feel reliable and comfortable to park without worry about something unexpected happen to my car during night time. I will recommend this awesome product to all my friends. They will love it too.

My dashcam stopped functioning after 5 years, so I just got to look for one that provides the most features without hurting the wallet too much. Found this one totally satisfying my needs on Amazon and placed the order. After a month of usage, I feel very comfortable to leave a review based on my experience.Pros:a) The 2k video/picture quality is crispy clear and smooth. It’s even quite clear at night time with low light visibility. I consider this as the essential feature of the dashcam, which this product is doing really good at.b) Installation of the dashcam is relatively easy considered the number of modules (GPS module, rear camera). I didn’t go to a mechanics/specialist, so it took me less than 1.5 hours to have all installed. It’s only 10 minutes to install the main dashcam piece, the wiring for the rear camera took the most like 40 minutes. All DIYable.c) The dashcam is mirror type, which is very invisible and won’t block the driver’s view because it doesn’t have to be sticking on the windshield. The 12 inch monitor size is large and interface being user friendly.Cons:a) The dashcam is using elastic rubber bands to be hold on the rear mirror, so there is chance that the rubber bands could block some keys of the car’s original mirror buttons. In my scenario, it did block one of my garage door button integrated with the mirror, but I can still press it so it’s fine.b) The camera of the dashcam can be designed as more expandable because I have to adjust the dashcam to the left so that the car’s mirror won’t block the camera. Or make it compatible with the regular mounting option so that user can choose to mount it on windshield if they have to.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Hope this dashcam’s durability can be as impressive as its features.
