Slight greenish tint, but still pretty black. They are very sturdy and look very nice as opposed to the ugly vanilla ones.

We have a family business and my dad has kept our open invoices in the same plastic black file folder for something like 10 years. Yes, we were ready for a new one and, being a creature of habit (might be a Dutch thing), my dad wanted to replace it ONLY with a black file. Hard to find.These are sort of a dusty black and they are pretty flimsy. I'll probably just get a year out of one if I'm lucky, but there are a gazillion to a box so I'm probably set for life.

These folders seem decent however i received my folders with the edges badly cut as if you would cut them with a saw, they dont have clean cut edges.

How much can you write about file folders? They are well made and the black color makes the files look mysterious.

First off - black file folders are hard to find. All the major office supply stores carry the standard manilla or circus- colors multi pack. When I located them at a store via the Internet, the price was $45.00 with out tax and I had an hour drive round trip to purchase them. Plus gas - cha ching. This was a great find for me on line. Even with shipping I still saved money on the purchase and they came right to my door.

Folders are pretty nice. Some what reinforced. Black in colors but not rich black. A bit washed out. Almost more of a dark charcoal gray. Has the slots to put in a label tab on either side. This was important to me. I have some folders already that only provide those slots on one side. I will most likely buy again.

Black on the outside, grey on the inside -strong little folders that stand out against the manila folders everyone else uses. They look very professional and elegant for a folder.
