This is a commercial quality filter, and system. These are used in restaurants everywhere, why not your home? I came upon this system from a client. She absolutely loves the taste, and water quality it provides. They are expensive, but we'll worth it. This filter is a 3 stage carbon filter, so it cleans out practically everything, but some chemicals, but no filter will clear out everything. The mount makes changing these out, super simple. They have a water valve built on to the mount, no shutting off the main valve,or the faucet valve. A quarter turn, boom. It comes down. Flush for 2mins, all done. We use this for drinking, and cooking at our house of 3. 1 filter lasts, about a year. The manufacturer provides a year timer, for your convenience. Put it on, or near your filter to check the time left. The water tastes clean, and fresh, every cup. Your body will appreciate the clean water you consume, and you'll drink more, because it tastes so much better!!

I've been using these Pentair Everpure H-104 Quick-Change Filter Cartridge, EV961211, For Use in Everpure H-104 Drinking Water Systems. We have a small faucet at the kitchen sink that is connected to it. We have hard water from the county municipal system and we get a build up in the coffee pot very quickly if you just use water straight from the tap. Using the H-104 filters we do not so we use filtered water for coffee, tea, cooking, or anything else used for consumption.A year or two ago I was going to save some money so I ordered some will fit cartridge of another name. It very quickly became apparent that I just threw that money away. Use authentic Everpure cartridges and you won't be disjointed.

We have used ever pure for ten years. This is the first time a replacement H104 cartridge is defective. Water first ran very dark. After a gallon or two it started to clear. After a week there was still dark sediment. We stopped using the system. Even melted ice in the sink left a stain. This is awful. I ordered a replacement cartridge. Hope these are not counterfeit H104.Additional comment 1/2/2023These pictures are of the sediments collected from our Keurig water tank. Tissue wiped very loose and recent sediments.I gave this filter a five star for its history of good filtering. This grey water is an isolated case. I expect the replacement filter to be OK, we shall see.

Fast shipping. I waited 18months to replace our filter because we are only 2 in the house. The weight of the old filter is so much more than the new one. I guess that's all the crude it took out of the city water system. Water tastes better now. Should have replaced this a lot sooner.

Great filter! I had 1 that my plumber installed and it lasted over a year. The water still tasted fine but I was a little concerned after the 1 year mark so I replaced it. Removal and installation of the filter were relatively easy. The price does seem like a lot at first glance but if you divide it over 12 months, it's more affordable than bottled water or Pur filters.FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION TIPSSeveral notes on installation: 1) Put a bucket or a large towel under the filter to catch any water drips from the filter when removing the old and installing the new filter. 2) Push the filter fully into the housing and then turn it counter-clockwise until it locks. (Judge the amount of twist based on how much it took you to untwist the old filter.) Be sure to click on the latch before turning on the water. I did not twist the cartridge enough and had a little flood after I turned on the filter. Make sure you run the filter for 15 minutes to flush out any trapped air and residue. Put a label with the installation date so you remember to change the filter before 12 months have passed.I also have trouble removing the filter from the housing. I was advised to use a strap wrench to have more leverage and add some silicone-based o-ring lubricant around the threads to reduce the friction and prevent o-ring from bunching up. The strap wrench worked and I was able to remove the old filter. We were concerned about using a non-food grade silicone lubricant so we used a bit of vegetable oil instead. Hope these tips will help you.NOTE ABOUT THE CHEAPER BUT INTERIOR S-104 FILTER - AVOID AT ALL COST!I initially replaced my H-104 filter with the S-104 to save $10. According to the specs, the only difference is the H-104 reduces lime and scales but all of the filtration specs is the same for both filters. THIS WAS A MISTAKE! 6 months later, the water tasted worse than unfiltered water. So, I called Everpure to trouble-shoot. I was told that I need to replace the filter as it is likely "full" and thus not filtering properly (eventhough there is no change in the flow). How is that possible since the old H-104 had lasted over a year with the same water usage pattern??? So, I asked whether there is any warranty for this issue as the filter is supposed to last about a year and it's non-operational after 6 months. I was told there is no warranty for the longevity of the filter. So, in saving $10, I wasted $50. This is a raw deal for a seemingly more economical option. Do not buy the S-104 filter!
