Paul Pope of THB fame said something a bout these pens on a stream with Cartoonist Kayfabe. He was a little vague and at first I bought the similarly named Pentel "Brush Sign Pen Artist" pens, model SESF30C. While those are great, no doubt, they are very different. That tip is a tiny nylon bristled brush shaped like a pen. NOW THIS model, the Pentel "TOUCH", model SES15C, is a solid pen tip that flexes like a brush, but never loses its point. You can vary the line thickness greatly. THIS was the pen Paul was talking about, no doubt. It will will enhance your art if you work quickly and like a variable line. It is the very opposite of a dead line! Buy the 10 back and be glad you did. You'll burn through one the first day you get it, if you're anything like me!

I've been learning modern calligraphy for past few years and have explored a number of brush pens to use. These pens seem to be my fit. I find them perfect for my calligraphy. Comfortable to use with right amount of flex in the nib. Bought a box immediately so I always have a supply.

I really like these for sketching, general writing of headings on notes (though I usually use ultra fine pens for most other writing). They are good for filling in detail as they have that nice deep black (not brown black like some black markerish pens which I hate.) The tips hold their shapes very nicely as well and you can a medium line from them. I wouldn't use these for brush lettering at all though since when used on their side the line tends to hollow out and give a double line that's dry. Great value for money though for your average use. I'd buy again for sure
