I got the 25th edition. I wanted the 24th. Not just did I get the wrong thing. Two of the cartridges didn’t stay locked into the pen. The third one did. So quality control is bad or they are old and the plastic is went bad. I ended up getting covered in ink. It also was missing the book that it was supposed to come with. I sent it back.

You don’t get the thick and thin line difference that you get in dip pens, but for simple projects, these pens are fine.

Love the nib holders as a starter set, the nibs are just ok. As someone who is trying to learn pointed pen calligraphy it was a good place to start. After buying different nibs (Nikko G) though I can see the difference. It’s nice that this set comes with two nibs to try along with the ink, nib cleaner and a book. The book is cool as it gives the history of calligraphy and many different styles. I will say it doesn’t necessarily do a great job as a teaching book for technique

Ink cartridges either fail to click into the pen or once pen is closed and reopened, the ink has come loose and is in the barrel of the pen.

THE NIBS WRITE VERY SMOOTHLY NO SCRATCH. HOWEVER ,THE INK FLOWS A BIT TO EASILY AND BLOTS . FINE LINES ARE NOT FINE.

I was so excited to purchase this product but when I did get it, I was slightly disappointed. It's not because the product wasn't great- for the price, the pens are actually good quality- but for someone who is practicing copperplate calligraphy, these pens are NOT the product to buy. The nibs are straight edged for gothic italic, formal italics, etc. But for copperplate, the lines are so thick it is difficult for a person like me- a new calligraphist. When I start leanring italics, these pens will come in handy.
