It seems like this is a redesign or different part. The shifter feels looser than stock oem bushing, and it doesn't match the photos of the listing. This would probably be better than a worn out bushing but it has a good quarter inch of play about double the oem busing.

Removes a lot of the "sloppiness" and "softness" of the factory shift feel. It does add a little feedback noise, but that should be expected with more rigid parts.

If you don't have many mods this will be quite noticeable. The shifter tends to go into gear better and return back to neutral quicker. Hope to add the MTEC shifter springs soon.

I only got this because it was cheap and I was already going to do some work in the area. Other people in the community suggested it to me, so I bought it last minute. Install was relatively easy, though I removed more than the instructions suggested because of other work. I don't notice a big difference after installation, but it is slightly tighter and better feeling than the worn out stock part that had 60k miles on it.I wouldn't climb under the car just for this mod, but it's worth about it's price if you're already down there.

50% of shifts are noticeably smoother. Makes a bigger difference than Motul 300 which I put in transmission 10,000 miles ago. I have a 2015 Scion FRS.

Super easy install just look up the how to on the gt86club forums. Just takes a ratchet and a 10mm, 12mm, 13mm sockets and an hour of your time. I absolutely feel a difference but I also installed simultaneously with the Whiteline transmission cradle mount. With both of those and motul tranny fluid this car easily has the best feeling transmission of any car I've ever driven

Did this in combination with a Whiteline KDT926 trans support bushing and Motul 300 75W90 fluid change to trans and diff. Car had only 425 miles on it, but I was unhappy with gearbox notchiness and all the forums recommended these three items to fix the issue (even the car dealer recommended changing the bushing!). Chose the Whiteline KDT926 bushing over the Perrin trans support replacement as the Perrin mount is basically a lump of aluminium that jams up under the gearbox to hold it steady - even Perrin advise on their website this item increases NVH a lot. The Whiteline KDT926 design allows for a tiny bit of cushioning while still keeping everything nice and rigid. Have only had the opportunity to drive the vehicle a few miles since the change, but the difference is immediately apparent - much less slop, much more precise engagement, less notchiness overall. Still not perfect, but far superior to stock. NVH did increase a little - but it is a sportscar, so who cares?
