This is a very accurate strobe tuner and I used it on my luthier's bench to set intonation on acoustic and electric guitars, and mandolins. I also found that it's very useful in learning violin.

This tuner is exceptional. It is intuitive for my students to read from across the classroom and works perfect from a Double Bass to a Flute. Highly Recommended.

It is the best. Everyone may not need the accuracy the versatility or the support. It has tunings foe almost any instrument you could imagine. It has open source tunings so its constantly getting new tunings ie tunings used by Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen its a Swiss Army knife not a just a tuner. It has a built in metronome and every parameter from the A tunning to the chromatic spacing to the color of the screen can be adjusted its a lot for the money

A must have for pedal steel guitar! Extremely accurate & "fast". I use Jeff Newman's tempered/sweetened tuning, & I have since I started playing in 1975. SO much easier using the built in Sweetened Tunings...vs. looking at a chart. I use the PE9 settings & it sounds great! I use the PE9 for both open tuning...& pedals/knee levers...no toggling necessary.Peterson makes the best tuners...a bit costly, but worth it. I love the ability to change the colors of the screen & the timer/stopwatch function; it keeps me from practicing/playing too long without taking a break.

The strobe tuner is the most accurate, and this one is versatile and easy to use. The only thing it won't do is find a place on your pedal board. there's no foot switch, and it needs to be recharged with a USB cable. Where it belongs is on your workbench and in your practice room.On the workbench it's fast, accurate and clearly visible from across the bench. It's got both a microphone and a signal input, so just plug in an electric or pick up an acoustic and you're ready to tune and adjust. In a practice room it's just as quick and easy to switch guitars and keep them in tune, and now the plus features help you get the most out of your practice time. There's a timer if you are on a schedule, but I love the metronome. I like an old fashioned swinging metronome because you can see where you are in the beat as well as hear it when it happens. Most digital metronomes just give you a noise and a blinking light, but the StroboPlus has a display that is like a swing arm on a mechanical metronome, but it's a lot easier to adjust the speed and rhythm than a mechanical, and never needs winding. It also has saved presets so it's easy to work through the tunes you want to practice. The digital improvements on a mechanical are all here too, change the voice, chose any meter and subdivision, set the accent pattern, and just spin the big knob to change the BPM.It's not the cheapest, but the recent price drop makes it great deal, and it gets used as much or more than anything else in the practice room.

First of all, it is a great tuner. It is very accurate, plus you can dial in your instrument (in my case an acoustic guitar) for a "sweetened" tuning. This might not seem like a big deal, but I can hear the difference between this and my other tuners. Second, it is a great metronome. I can set it for a human a voice so it counts "one and two and three and four..." and I find this extraordinarily helpful. It is also easy to operate. It doesn't have a lot of confusing menus, and after spending less than five minutes reading the manual I knew everything I needed to know. My only slight criticism is the manual that comes with it is difficult to read, but I was able to find an online version and that one is excellent.

This is the most useful and accurate tuner for guitar I’ve ever used. I’ve been buying and trading guitars for 56 years. I’m not a hoarder and I’m no expert but I’ve seen a variety of guitars in my lifetime and gone through a variety of tuning solutions. This is the first professional level tuner I’ve purchased and I wish I had known about it sooner! Even if guitar tuning is the only feature you use from this device, it’s still worth the price for its accuracy! I like the “sweetened tuning” feature! First time having a smart feature on a tuner and I have been using that mode to tune all my guitars. I have two acoustic and two electric and it works very well. This tool helps me nail intonation even with sweetened tuning! You can do better than “close enough for Rock and Roll”!

This has worked great for my needs, I believe in performing my own maintenance. Some one working on guitars, this is a necessity. You can tune a guitar and check intonation easily.
