The set is extremely small compared to my other set good for kids I guess

I’ve played lots of kubb in my life and just got this set. The wood is well finished and feels durable. Has a decent weight for its size it’s just a bit smaller than I like my sets to be so the pieces are a bit harder to set up and hit. Definitely good if you’re looking for something that more cheap and portable though.

This was a hit at our family reunion this year. People gathered around to both watch and take their turn at playing. It came quite fast too. I was worried it wouldn't show up in time. I highly reccommend this game for outside play. Our couples games got quite lively.

This is a well made Kubb set that is perfect for all ages, but especially good for kids as it is slightly smaller than some others. Our kids love playing this game and this set has seen tons of action the past few months and held up very well. My one gripe would be that the wood is unfinished, which means it is now covered in a bunch of grass stains. Had the wood been properly finished to help keep this set in better shape, it would be a solid 5 stars. Other than that minor annoyance, this is a great set and a great backyard game. Highly recommend!

Always looking for new ways to engage the kiddos! Everyone loves playing. It was a little confusing at first but once you start its quick to learn. I love that it is compact enough to bring with us in various outings!

I had never heard of this game till I saw it on Amazon. It looked like it was worth a try for something new and I'm glad I got it. It is a different kind of toss game-you toss sticks and wooden blocks-that is a lot of fun. You can have different numbers on each side and the only restraint is to avoid making the field too long for your weakest player (There are suggested sizes but you can make the field whatever side you like). I read several versions of the rules and think the following is the easiest way of stating it:After setting up the field...1. Pick up any fallen Kubbs in your near field, go to your end line, and throw them to your far field. If any go out of bounds or are within a foot of a corner or the king they must be rethrown. If they are still not in bounds the other team stands them up anywhere they want in your far field, but not within a foot of a corner or the king. If you knock down any Kubbs in the far field they get set up. If you knock down the King when throwing your Kubbs it's game over-you lose!2. Go to your end line. If there are any standing Kubbs in your near field you can advance to the one closest the center and that becomes your throwing line. You then throw your sticks:A. First you must knock down any Kubbs in your far field.B. Then you knock down any Kubbs on the far end line.If you knock down a far end line Kubb before all of the far field Kubbs are knocked down the end line Kubb gets put back up. If one stick knocks down the last far field Kubb and an end line Kubb they both stay down.If you knock down the king during A or B it's game over-you lose!C. Then return to your near end line and go for the King. If you knock him down you win!If you run out of sticks and the king is still standing the other team starts at 1.Some special notes:1. Thrown sticks, if they rotate, must rotate in the same vertical plane in which they travel. No helicopter throws!2. Thrown Kubbs that land with both ends in bounds can be stood up on either end, non-throwing team gets to choose.3. Any other questions can be decided by looking up official rules or just making up a house rule.It may sound a little complicated but after one or two rounds you get the hang of it and then you can work on a strategy for throwing your Kubbs and figuring out which ones to knock down first. It's fairly easy and the sticks can take some strange bounces that hurt the better players and help the weaker ones which tends to even things out. Which makes for a great game that has a good blend of luck and skill. I'm sure you will like it very much.

I still haven't been able to finish a game yet or got a hang for the rules. Each time we try to play, I have to reread them again. The price seems to be inline with the market and the wood feels of good quality. They did a good job with smoothing the pieces, don't have any rough edges or threat of a splinter. Storage is the same for all of them, how it is made allows you to put them away compactly.

So I have been unable to play this game as of the weather but it seems well made and it's great to try new things like this. Give it a go!
