It's a decent brush. I use it on my cats, and while it seems to do a decent job of deshedding them, I think the furminator brush is more effective. This one gives more of a scratchy feeling though which my cats love.The hair ejector button also isn't perfect. The hair can get pulled inside the brush and you have to pull it out. The ejector button does help with removing hair from the brush though.

This brush works amazing on our cats. I even got two more to give as gifts. You just have to be careful when removing the hair off the brush that you don't bend any of the bristles. Other than that this is an amazing product that my cats actually let me brush them with.

Both of my cats like being brushed, though they don't get to experience it very frequently because previously the only brushes I had were for de-matting (now-deceased senior cat had stopped self-grooming, and wouldn't even tolerate the *presence* of the other two cats), *my* hair (sorry kitties, I'm not sharing), and for removing fur from furniture (which wasn't even very good at that).Anyways, all that is to say that I knew before even ordering this that the cats would probably like it. What I didn't expect was just HOW MUCH they'd like it. For both of them, it's instant, CONSTANT, purring the entire time they're being brushed. And for one of them it's almost catnip levels of bliss. Rolling around, back and forth, presenting new spots to be brushed (including his neck!), while making it difficult to ACTUALLY brush him. While making air biscuits, carpet biscuits, and "Augh! That's my leg, buddy!" biscuits lolThat said, as with all things for pets - cats ESPECIALLY - your pet may have a different reaction.Cat enjoyment aside, as a brush, this actually works quite well. The thin metal bristles gather hair pretty easily, and the click button for their positioning allows for easy removal of the hair from the bristles while also reducing the risk of the bristles getting damaged while not in use. The product claims that it is also suitable for detangling and dematting, but I'd be cautious about that. I'm sure that it WOULD do it, but on two cats that DON'T have matting or tangles, it sometimes feels like it's catching on something when it isn't, and matting can be pretty rough to deal with.

This dog deshedding brush is convenient. It’s best for long hair tangles and is easy to remove excess hair since the bristles can fold into the brush.

I wanted to love this brush. It’s sturdy and has a cap for when it’s not in use so it doesn’t scratch anyone or the cat doesn’t try to eat her own hair out of it like she does with her other brush, and the lifting feature for cleaning is so cool. But my cat hates it so none of that matters! She recoiled from it and now leaves the room anytime she sees me pick it up. Whereas with her old brush she comes running to me for it. It is bigger and I guess feels different. Due to its size I’m thinking maybe it’s better suited for dogs.

My cats love being brushed, but the brush I had been using previously was so difficult to clean, filled up with hair quickly and felt like hair was just flying around everywhere. You can definitely feel that the bristles on this brush reach down a bit deeper, but not to an uncomfortable level. I think it helps to grab more hair. My cats absolutely loved being brushed with this (my dog, not so much but she doesn't like brushes of any kind). This contains and traps the hair as you brush, and the push button to remove the hair is really easy to push. All of the hair comes right off so it is easy to put directly into the trash and you don't have any leftover in the bristles.
