I've been a PETZL fan since the mid-90s. I joined a caving club in college and had a really great headlamp at the time. I have 3 to 4 others that are regular battery powered using AAA or AA. This one isn't bulky like some more powerful lamps. The head strap is really quick to adjust. The auto-dimming feature is nice for situations around other people. Navigating the modes is not that hard, although some people seem to have issues. This is now my main headlamp to work around the house, hike, and camp.

Use esta lampara en modo adaptable y además de una gran luz qué me permitía visualizar mi camino, la batería me duró en ese modo "automatico" 4 horas constantes.En modo 1,000 lumens solo me duró 2.5 horas la batería pero realmente tener todo el tiempo los mil lúmenes no es necesario, mejor dejarlo en modo automático y sólita la lampara te da la luz qué necesitas.Gran compra!!

Nice and bright but doesn’t stay to the adjusted size once you take it off, so you have to readjust the straps with each use

I'm not an adventure so I will not put this light through the hell they would. However in using it just as a relatively normal human it works very well. Great battery life with the ability to use their extra batteries if you choose to buy them. It's pretty easy to get use to the different modes and the adaptive lighting works well while helping conserve battery life. I pretty sure it can be mounted to a helmet but I don't know what you need to do so. I have a pretty big head 73/4" or about 19.6cm. With a cold weather hat on it can be adjusted to fit.
