The patented u’Select adjustable grinding system in this mill has 6 pre-defined settings so you can choose the coarseness of your pepper. To get your desired coarseness, turn the adjustment ring at the base of the mill to 1 for an extremely fine grind and up to 6 for a coarser grind. This Pepper Mill is made of beechwood. The wood Peugeot turns into mills is sourced from PEFC certified forests. Peugeot supports sustainable forest management and recycles their wood chips and scraps to the energy sector. They use water soluble, planet friendly paints and varnishes and eco-designed non-laminated packaging (full-fiber compact boxes) for exemplary recyclability. If you like to cook, this is a must have. I like the different grind settings. The grinder feels great and grinds with little effort. You can tell it's very well made. The only drawback is it is pricey, but I expect it will last years. Nice size, too.

I bought one as a gift in December. It had a nick, so I was sent a replacement. I’d intended to rerun the first one, but I loved the size and feel of the pepper grinder. I also like that it is adjustable. So I kept the original and am happy I did.Grate customer service. Great product. Would buy again!

You might second guess getting this due to the price, but don’t. I can’t explain how amazing this product is! By far the best and easiest to use pepper mill I have ever owned. The grind is smooth and perfect, it’s easy to change the grind setting, and it looks great. It’s worth every penny
