This with tax was almost 50 bucks and that's way too much. And it turned out I only could use the stem. But if you tile and have certain Pfister tub hardware, you will probably need it. It works fine but if I had not needed it quickly I would've searched around to make something better priced work.

so if your a first time shower installer, and you messed up on your depth calculations for the valve body this little piece is a life saver. This kit gives you the abblity to connect valve handle with an additional half inch or so of depth.

This literally saved my bathroom remodel. I remodeled my bathroom in my 100 year old building. Behind the wall for the shower were many pipes & drains from other units, which made it impossible to place the shower valve in the correct spot. This extension made it possible and saved my project!

Internal thread is too short and doesn't allow to use it for intended purposes. The internal thread length is less than 1/2 inch, but should be about 1 inch.
