Worked on older pfister shower ! There is confusion on cartridge verification ..needs to be less confusion

Our shower valve control and handle were worn out (see photos). When the shower was pulled on, water would leak from the handle area into the shower. The handle itself looked bad.I ordered the Pfister 9742920 Replacement Part cartridge, which was a perfect fit. I wasn't sure if this new handle would fit over it, but it did. Be sure to hang onto the special hex wrench in case you need to tighten the handle in the future.This looks much better than the 25-year-old handle it replaced (see photo).

I had to change my bathroom shower fittings and this came in handy. I am not a big DIY person, I watch YouTube videos and try to implement these projects in my home. Changing my shower handle was a bit overdue, so I decided to go with this as it seemed easy to install and use.So far so good this has added to the beauty of my shower fittings and seems to work just fine. The chrome finish is gleaming and almost mirror like. I hope it lasts long time.

I have had troubles using 3rd party with Pfister valve body's. Stick to OEM, especially with this brand.
