Easy replacement of old light. Works well and it's bright. The bulbs are better than my older unit.

Sensors seemed less sensitive than described. I had to go up to the medium sensitivity to get reaction in the range described as low.Main body, and light housings are metal. The light pivots, and the whole PIR sensor assembly is plastic. Diffuser lens seem like plastic. The light arms are always free to pivot. You could tighten the tilt screw to lock it down, but it would still pan freely. This uses a simple flat bracket, and a single screw for attachment. My previous one had the screw embedded in the bracket, and a long nut, which made install a little easier.Instructions are all pictograms. It works fine for the install, but the special mode setting really could use some basic text instructions. Before install I used a power meter and measured 42.1W when on, and 1.1W idle.== Internals ==Seems to use direct mains style driver chips. There is no transformer, and input noise filtering/protection was minimal, just an X2 capacitor, and a fusible resistor. I also only see a single diode, no full bridge rectifier. There is a SMD jumper on the board to select 28W or 42W, but I didn't try changing it. Don't know if it requires other changes to the circuit. Based on the ZX9001EB chip info, it does support adjusting the output so it might be feasible to cut the light output with just this jumper. The 5 driver chips, in ESOP8 package, were ZX9001EB by Zhixiang Technology. I only found info about them on 1688 B2B site. They are only rated for 180-240V, but this unit is for 120V application. Anyways, it looks like 1 piece is good for a 9W, so there's a bit of headroom here with 5 pieces (45W).There is also a SOT-223-3 device marked 7c33-1 Y4H5PJ3. I couldn't identify it.The smarts all seem to be in the PIR module, and I didn't open it. It is connected to the main PCB with 4 wires (OR, VCC, GND, PWM).

I had an exterior flood light that needed to be replaced in the back of my home overlooking the mother in law quarters. I was looking to upgrade it to something more brighter with motion sensor. While browsing Amazon one day for lighting a suggestion displayed for this Philips modern looking led flood light with 2 heads so I decided to order it.Once the light arrived I could tell it was made with heavy quality materials and I was very eager to get it installed. The 44w light is very straight forward to install with easy to read instructions. The flood light has a steel base with an exterior white flat finish with 2 5000k daylight white led lights. This modern flood light from Philips has 4 sensor modes, completely waterproof and has dusk to dawn feature built in.I was absolutely blown away by how great the quality and brightness of the flood light. You can also adjust the lighting angle by swiveling the light heads, but best do it when the lights are off as they do get hot. They really brighten up my back yard and make me feel safe at night.

We used this light to replace another motion detection fixture that wasn't working properly. This light was a great upgrade. The dual heads are adjustable and it has multiple choice options for settings including motion detection, dusk-to-dawn or no sensor. We're using the motion detector on our back path to increase security in the back of our house and it works perfectly and is nice and bright. The motion detector comes distance settings and with options to adjust the timing for how the light stays on once activated. The light housing is sturdy metal and has been through a few very intense seasonal storms and isn't showing any signs of wear or moisture issues. This is a simple but excellent quality fixture and works exactly as advertised.

I was excited to receive this light since we really needed to replace the light on the front of our house, and this is a huge upgrade! The light feels well made. It’s metal, not plastic, and Philips is a respected brand. This thing puts out a LOT of light compared to the one it replaced, which was a similar design. It also has some great features. The two lights on the fixture can be aimed in different ways. You can also choose from multiple settings which include different distances of motion sensing and different amounts of time before automatic shutoff after it’s triggered on by motion. Or you can set it to turn on automatically at dusk and off at sunrise, or if you prefer it to only go on and off with the light switch, that’s an option too. I tested out the motion sensor at the medium and high settings, and it works in a pretty wide range around the light as well as from an impressive distance. The light is also easy to install. It does need to be hard wired, but if you are replacing an existing light it’s just a matter of attaching three wires and putting in three screws—with the breaker turned off, of course. The light is designed to go on a wall, but our previous light was placed in the soffit, so that’s where our hardwiring is. Fortunately, the motion sensor on this can be aimed in the same way the lights can, so it works just fine installed on the soffit.
