Ceiling Mount
The MT503 also comes in white and has the option to be ceiling mounted. When placed beyond 15ft from the PC, a Phoenix Audio Power Hub must be used.

I worked for a company that was utilizing these mics in the past but never really tested them myself. So I kind knew the quality of product I was getting. However, I wasn't prepared for the ease of integration. It was almost unsettling how easy this mic works with Zoom; as I was building a Zoom Room.There was some very minor frustration with the ceiling mount but that should be attributed to my own shortcomings not the device. We have 8 foot ceilings and it picks up nicely without issue. The speaker gives a full sound without distortion or anything. No calibration required. There's a dot that lights up indicating the direction of sound similar to an amazon echo.This is not by any means a stereo speaker meant for movies or gaming, but it works perfectly for the purpose it's suited for: audio conferencing. While it is a bit expensive regarding microphones, the piece of mind it gives warrants continued purchases as the need arises. If looking for a microphone/speaker specifically for audio/video conferencing this is it.

So far this is working as I'd hoped for our medium-size conference room. Right now we just set it on a table but I hope to mount it to the ceiling soon.

We have the spider set up in a few conference rooms that are used for video conferencing, and they have worked really well for us. We were looking for a solution to get the mic/speaker off the table where people could unplug it or mess with the buttons, the ceiling mount has worked out perfect. Sound quality on both ends is really good. We have used both USB and Ethernet, both worked good, and daisy chaining two spiders was easy to do. I knocked off one star because I wish it came with the ceiling mount for the price.

Originally purchased as an expandable speakerphone solution in a large (50 person) space. At a premium priced solution I am disappointed with the results. Using Phoenix Audio recommended CAT 7 cabling I have been unable to eliminate noise and static when daisy-chaining four (4) Smart Spider units together. Noise appears to get progressively worse when connecting more than two (2) Smart Spiders using Cat 7 cable lengths beyond 25ft.Perhaps in small spaces using only a couple Smart Spiders and/or short cable runs the results would be acceptable. On a positive note Phoenix Audio support is responsive and helpful.

These things are godsends for conferencing. If you use Zoom, as we do, you can turn off the software anti-echo control in the meeting and allow the Spider's own anti-echo to manage the audio. The bump up in quality will be amazing.The beam forming mic array really does a great job of finding each person sitting at the table and making them heard clearly.Daisy chaining them works really well. Have used up to 3 in a string to make a big group meeting work in a web conference and each person could be heard perfectly clearly. This is truly a sophisticated and successful device.One quibble. The micro usb connection is fragile and has been known to break with rough handling. Have had to send a few back to Phoenix. They're good about it and say they're trying to harden them.

This unit was requested for an specific project and its working even better than planned.Quality of Audio is Amazing, connectivity options are excellent and ease of use is one of the best features.The Application to set it up is simple, well designed and does the work is intended to without many complications.We had to request technical support for some of our specifics setting and environment, support was provided quickly and efficiently.Simply on our first install with unit, we think is the one to be using from now on, simply great.
