This is a lousy product. Impossible to figure out how to fit it on my hiking shoes this post trying for 30 minutes. And no instruction given/enclosed. Sorry I wasted my time and money. Threw it away.

These gaiters were great. The materials were high quality! The only thing that would make the rating 5 stars would be if there was a way to secure the gaiter at the heel. I have recommended the to my friends.

These were probably meant to go over the currently popular low-cut sneaker style hiking shoes. They do not fit over a standard hiking boot.

I like the color, the fabric itself is perfect: sturdy and a little stiff, I got these specifically for winter so all I’ve done is try them with hiking boots. If they don’t fit right with snow boots I will update review. I think the current price is great, too. I shopped for gaiters a few months ago and went to Cabelas, Acadamy Sports, Scheels, etc and they had big neoprene $80 ones. None like this. I also got a green “fishing season “ pair from diff manufacturer. Honestly I like them a lot, too-that review should be posted

So I didn't think my ankles were especially thick, so I didn't even measure. These are on the cusp of bursting open when I close them. They are well made and nice quality, so I'm slightly bummed they don't fit me right. The strap that goes under your shoe feels durable enough to withstand scraping the ground, but I recommend use with a boot that has a notch for them to sit in to protect them long term. Just be sure to measure your ankles and make sure they'll be a good fit.

I wanted to really like this gaiters as it had a great color combination but it missed the mark on fit. First of all, it took lots of pulling and tugging to get it wrapped around the ankle. Then you had to deal with buckling in the strap. Maybe the lugs and width of my all terrain shoes were too much bit the ends of the strap never reached the retainer slots. One my lace hooks would not center on the footwear but was skewered off center. The gaiter material is waterproof from the top so rain should bounce off as well as trail muck and pebbles. It will not keep your feet dry if you submerge you feet in a brook however. The strap bottom was scraping the ground and I worry the TPU material will fail sooner than later. For me, I give it 2 Stars. Fit was poor. TPU strap too short. BTW, my shoe size is 11 for reference.

No instructions are included in the package, but they include a web site where you can download them. Unfortunately, the link requires you to register an email address (which has to be verified) before getting access to the instructions. I didn’t want to do this so I gave up on getting the instructions. The gaiters have a rubber strap (neoprene maybe?) that goes under the boot and connects using a metal buckle. The strap is quite thin - I measure it to be about 0.8 mm. Durability is a minor concern. The holes in the strap are spaced 2 cm apart (about ¾”); I would prefer them to be a little closer together to give finer adjustment. The Amazon web page description of these gaiters claims that the bottom maximum diameter is 17” and the top maximum diameter is 12.75”. You have to subtract an inch to allow overlap to engage the Velcro. When they say “diameter” they really mean circumference. For example, the circumference of my bare lower calf is about 11.5”. The usable circumference of the gaiter is 12.75-1=11.75”. The gaiter does fit around my leg, but barely and only if I’m not wearing socks or pants. I can get the gaiters on my size 13 shoes, but again just barely, and with lots of pushing and pulling and using the last strap hole. Too tight for practical use. There are things I like: the Velcro they use is aggressive and should hold the gaiters on through any reasonable hiking. There is also a strap that goes around the leg on top of the gaiter that attaches with Velcro and a buckle to secure the gaiter. The ripstop nylon seems durable and is suitable for light-weight gaiters. The rubber straps seem thin, but on the plus side they’re pliable. Hopefully, they’ll be durable as well. The ad says “The perfect fit – one size for all hikers”. I’m not a big guy, 5’11” and 180 pounds, but there’s no way I can wear these. I’ll give them to my wife and I think they’ll fit her ok. They’re not bad gaiters.Postscript... I tried to give them to my wife but she says they're too tight around her ankles, so she doesn't want them.

I wear a men's size 9 and I think these are closed to maxed out on my shoes and very maxed out on my hiking boots. If you have smaller feet I think they could be quite nice. Also these don't fit over my pants with the velcro fully closed, the top strap is long enough to close but the gaiter itself is open on the top. These may work if are wearing the thinnest of nylon hiking pants or tights. These are good however with shorts on, the material is comfortable around my ankles with low cut socks on.I like the material, it doesn't pick up many prickers along the trail and it looks nice. I'm not sure if the reflective material on the bottom is necessary or helps anything but I don't think it looks bad or creates any harm either.Putting them on is interesting, all my other gaiters go on from the heal side, these you have to stick your toe through the bottom loop and then wrap the gaiter around the back of your foot. Not that big of a deal but I think my big snow gaiters go on easier because there is no stepping into them, just lift up your heel, hook the front, and wrap.Overall I think these are good if you have smaller feet and wear either tights or shorts but definitely for bigger feet.
