Please beware if left in the car it will get extremely hot. I put it in the fridge before putting it on the car seat but it does not stay cold long.

This Pinkunn Gel Car Seat Cooler Pad seemed like a great idea for our little one on the hot and steamy summer days in the south. It started out nice and cool, and he was happy. Unfortunately, after about 30 minutes or so, he was drenched in sweat. It is initially quite cool, but it heats up rather quickly on a hot and humid day. This defeats the purpose. It is also quite heavy. Not my favorite...

I have reviewed similar products on Amazon, and they all have two problems: 1. they're very heavy to lug around, so not great as a general cover for the carseat and stroller. You'd need two. 2. They're made out of ice pack materials, and, just as they hold in the cold, they also hold in the heat. They get very hot when left in the car, which is a little worrying. I don't really recommend the Pinkunn Gel Car Seat Cooler Pad Summer Chair Ice Cushion unless you really need to cool the baby down, but then I'd pay close attention to how warm it gets because that could be counter productive. I would instead recommend anything with a cooling or moisture wicking material instead.
