I got this to do a little HVAC work with copper 5/8 LP fuel tubing, and 3/8 and 7/8 inch AC tubing. As some have noted, not all copper tubing is meant to be bent (my experience is that tubing that comes in a coil bends easily, while the straight stuff doesn’t and you should use fittings). This tool handled most of the bends that I needed to make so effortlessly. On one bend, a hard 180 degree for a fuel line, I used this tool to form most of the bend, but needed to use a spring type bender to finish so I did not trap the die. The dies make sure that you bend with a reasonable radius. For the 5/8 tube this was a 2 inch radius. The bend did work harden the tubing quite a bit. The tool delivers effortless performance at a great price. It was probably a bit much for my DIY level of use.The case is a nice plus since there are so many pieces. The tube cutter is an ok add on, but not as good as others I own. Two small things: it would be nice if there was a little extra space in the case to store a flaring tool or a swage since they will often be used together. It would also be nice if there was a sticker on the top of the case so you don’t spend 5 minutes putting all the pieces back when they fall out.
