I wasn't sure what to expect with these but was very curious to try them out. I needed to bend several pieces that I knew would fold if I didn't use something in the tube.The fit in the tubing I was using is a little loose - the tubing flattened slightly as I bent the curves but it didn't buckle and fold.I needed to form some short coils - and my first attempt of four turns was too tight and the rod couldn't be removed - but a slightly larger diameter coil and this did work - rod pulled out with some effort but it did prevent the tube from kinking.I'm not sure if these are the perfect size for "Standard" fractional sized tubes - might be a better fit in metric tubing -Not a magic solution but these did allow me to do what I needed in both 1/4" and 1/2" tube.

These are great. Install them inside your copper lines and then bend as needed. You can bent a pretty tight 180 without kinking the copper. I waited until the last minute to remove them so any final bending was safe
