Very smooth reel. The price was perfect. The drag is very smooth. Line capacity is great. So far it’s very durable. For the price it’s a 10/10.Would recommend to anyone!

The good:I like the looks. Matte black with a free gray accents. Very coolSmoothness is on par with other spinning reels in this price range.Instant antireverse on the bail arm. It will not rotate backwards on you.The spool has a thick upper rim. I am not a fan of spools with very thin rims because they tend to get nicks which reduces casting distance and causes wear on the line.Smooth drag with a loud clicker. I don't know if the 22 pound max rating is accurate, but you can really put the screws down. I mainly fish for panfish so I doubt I'll ever need to tighten it down that much.No flex in the frame. That's always kind of iffy in small reels that don't have metal frames, bit this one is rock solid. There is some flex when you squeeze the bail arm, but it's heavily ported to reduce weight so it's probably the design.Comes with extra washers to adjust the line lay.The bad:The spool is not braid ready. You will need to use backing or wrap it with tape to prevent slipping.A little heavier than the specs state. I ordered the 2000 size and it's supposed to be 6.5 oz but is actually 6.75.The neutral:No antireverse switch. It is take-up only. If you like backreeling, this reel is not for you.Handle does not fold for storage. If you have a rod case and like to store it with the reel attached this could be an issue. On the other hand, there is zero play in the handle. It is machined aluminum and quite sturdy. I also like that it uses a screw connection instead of a hex through shaft.

Comes in a nice box with a couple frills. No idea what the extra washers and plug are for.The reel handle doesn’t loosen and fold. This is an issue if you’re packing the rod/reel.Spins and locks nicely. This 2000 is bulkier than my Quantum Accurist 2000. The finish is also not as refined.

Great reel but the handle has a terrible squeak when reeling.

Before i got it in my hands I had doubts that it was actually constructed of carbon because if its low price. I thought it must be cheap nylon or graphite but after using it, it absolutely feels like carbon material. Its super light (6.8oz) for a 3000 size reel and feels rigid and with no flex in the stem. The reel is super tight with no play in the rotor, direct drive screw in handle, or anti-reverse. There is no antireverse switch however. So you back reelers have to go to another option. Retrieve is smooth and tight but not as fluid as daiwa or shimano out of the box. It may loosen up with use but its not even a concern at this price point. Its still plenty smooth. The carbon fiber drag performance is amazing. Smooth amd strong. Held up to some strong smallmouth bass and even a couple big carp. The clicker sounds amazing when fish make a run. No major issues with line twist either. Line twist is inherent in spinning reels but the reel's even line lay, wide spool, and ball bearing line roller minimizes it effectively. Comes with a soft pouch, extra spool washers, and a spare non handle side cover. Over all an amazing reel for the money.

So pros: it’s smooth, the drag is better than expected and it feels sturdy. Line lay is even and cast well. It is very light but mine came in at 5.7 oz so a little heavier than what’s claimed. Now to the cons: it has a really heavy start up, definitely feels way too greased or something. I will take it apart and clean it up to see if that helps. Whenever you reel in there is noticeable resistance. The most I’ve ever felt in a reel actually. If that was fixed I’d give it 5 stars for the price. Mine also came with a piece of unshaven plastic attached to the drag knob but I just cut it off with a razor blade. Conclusion: If it stays under 50 bucks I’d definitely say they are worth though. Just not sure what’s going on with that heavy resistance and inertia when reeling in.

I didn't know how good this reel would be, but I was looking for a spin-cast that I could keep in my SUV in case I had free time. My one-word description for this reel is: WOW!!!!😃 I was happily impressed with this Piscifun Carbon XT spinning reel!! The old saying is that you usually get what you pay for, but in this case, I got more than I expected for the price point of this reel!!!😄 The carbon body of this unit ensures the weight is low, at just 5 1/2 ounces, which is great for extended fishing time and rod handling!! The build of this reel is strong and sturdy. The company truly designed this unit to work well while looking good!!! The black colored design is attractive and should be durable. While the operation of this casting reel is extremely smooth due to the ball bearings the handle rides on, don't expect it to be similar to a $170.00 Zebco.🙄 But all things considered, the action is buttery-smooth and will certainly please you with its performance!! The 5.2 to 1 ratio of the gears makes retrieving your line quickly, and the hollow handle is weight-saving and ergonomically comfortable. The line roller (or "Bail") is an appreciable thickness, which I prefer on a spin-cast reel. The thickness helps to ensure that line tangles or knots are a thing of the past, and it will be less susceptible to nicks and wear, which over time destroy your line.😉 The manufacturer states that the adjustable drag coefficient is approximately 22 pounds, and they are right on the money or close to it!!! I don't anticipate having to use a very high drag setting while freshwater fishing for a variety of "stream fish" like trout. 🚩I rate this spin-cast reel a solid 10 out of 10 because of its innovative design, the quality of components for the price point, the unexpectedly superior performance, and the extremely affordable cost!! ⚡HINT:⚡ I highly recommend this spin-reel for folks just starting out using an open-cast unit, or any seasoned angler who needs a good quality reel without spending an arm and a leg!!! As a unit that I'll use occasionally, my set-up with this reel and an older pole is more than capable of performing well and hopefully pulling in some tasty fish!!!!😉 You won't be disappointed with the purchase of this reasonably priced, high-performance reel!!!😊

Great reel and great value. This is the ninth Piscifun reel I have purchased and I have not been disappointed with any of them. This new model is very nice, I can’t wait to get out on the water and use it.

I have the original Carbon X and the Carbon X 2. This one, the Carbon XT is slightly cheaper 20$ less and the bearing are a bit less high. But the reel feels exactly the same on my rod, lightweight and high quality. The drag system and noise clicking sounds like the same as the Carbon X. Nice matte black color. The sizing is the same exact as the Carbon X. Honestly, most folks would't tell the difference. I've been using it for lake trout during the ice fishing season. I will also use it for crappy/smallmouth bass this summer. Will pair it with a light action 7ft rod with some 8-10lbs braid line. Good quality reel by a trusted brand. Theres alot of good reviews on this brand, and I can certainly confirm they are legit claims.
