I've never been able to remove a ball joint or tie rod with the method of just hitting it with a big hammer. I've seen people do it, but that's just not me. This tool really does the trick. The arms can adjust to different size ball joints, and the teeth at the end are slim to fit in tight spaces. You know it seems like no matter what tool you use, they just don't fit right. This one has fit pretty well so far on a couple different cars. It's really satisfying to slowly crank down on the tool and then suddenly the joint pops out with a loud bang! A must have for any serious mechanic

Great quality and super handy for replacing tie rod ends it feels like the ones you rent from the auto store. It can handle some abuse and keep going and nice that the bolt has a nice roller ball style end as to not damage the tool itself

This is a smaller size Puller; I also have a wider size with the same design. This is good for Tie Rod ends and is well made for the money. A good tip is to put reasonable tension on the puller bolt then hit the knuckle with a hammer where the Tie Rod shaft goes through to help release it. Hammer it a couple times then add more tension to the bolt and repeat and it will eventually release without breaking anything, you can even also use an Air Hammer if you have one.

This is the 2nd one of these I have. This one stays on my tech cart and the other is in my main chest in my shop. Well made and weighty. Clean edges with no burrs. The threads are clean and the bolt threads with no issues.Note: comes with no instructions so you may want to hit up youtube before yoy set out pulling.
