Didn't work. All my plants died during a 1 day snow fall.

The quality of these covers are excellent. Thick material, good zipper. Would like to see them in smaller sizes.

I would have given this a 5* If not because of it's string. I like the cover, it is thick, big enought to cover my big tree. The problem is the string. It's too tiny/thin. It just slides from the locking mechanism. I have to tie it instead.Update: used it again for the second time. Another freeze coming to Texas. I bought a roll of cord from dollar store and change the tiny string that came this. However, the slot is too narrow to pass the thicker cord. I ended up sewing another layer of hem big enough to accommodate the new cord and it worked very well. Including the sliding locking mechanism worked perfectly this time. Don't have to tie a knot to keep it in place.

I used this plant cover on my pygmy palm during a rare 7-degree freeze and snowstorm in Louisiana. It’s a huge bag, probably better for taller trees like fruit trees, but the extra material worked for me since I could lay it on the ground for added protection. The zipper and drawstring worked great—cinched tight around the trunk and stayed secure for most of the week. It kept ice off the plant, which was the main goal. However, the fabric holds onto snow, and about 6 inches built up on top, weighing it down onto the palm fronds, which might’ve made the cold worse in spots. After a week, wind finally knocked it off, but it did its job during the harshest part of the freeze. Time will tell if the palm made it, but overall, it’s a decent cover. Probably best for taller trees or with a little tweaking for smaller plants.

I've had other covers in the past and they were very thin. This cover was much better than past covers and made of a thick material. I felt better about the chances of my knockout rose bushes and other surrounding plants actually having a chance to survive. Knockout roses are full of thorns and really hard to cover, but the thickness of this cover as well as the large size made it much easier to cover my plants. They held up very well over a very windy couple of days. However, the cord is way to thin and actually broke as I was trying to cinch it around the bottom of the bush. This compromised the functionality of the cover by leaving it open at the bottom and at first vulnerable to the wind. I had to use some clips around the base to keep it in place so it wouldn't blow off. Other than that, it is a great cover and even held up to the thorns when I pulled it off. There were a couple of small tears, but nothing substantial.
