These covers are wide enough to cover plants that are well over 12 inches in height under the hoops. They allow light through but protect against cold and excess rain. They also keep deer from nbbling my plants. I like them.

Worked well for my plants in the last freeze…getting ready for the next freeze!!

It comes vacuum-packed, which is a bit strange, but I guess it takes up 10% less space that way. It seems good--a bit thiner than I would have expected, as it touted being slightly thicker than other brands. But it's looks good and should work out well to get that extra week or two of harvests next autumn.

To be honest, I expected a thicker cover, but it's definitely sufficient for Texas. I’m not sure how well it would hold up in northern states, though (disclaimer: I’m far from gardening).Tip: It doesn’t come with any fasteners (clips, staples, etc.), so you’ll need to buy those separately or use something like stones to pin it down.

I'm in north Florida, and while we don't have snow, we do still have a couple of freezes each year. I ordered this mainly to protect my flower beds and plants from the few freezes we experience each winter. So far, it has done very well for a three night freeze that dipped into the upper 20's. The fabric is very thin...so thin that I actually doubled up on coverage, but it protected them very well. I had several crotons, milkweed, an azalea (wasn't very worried about that one), and a bridal veil (was worried about this one). After the temps came back up, I uncovered everything, and they were all healthy and beautiful.Granted, I don't have a green house or rows of crops, but I do plan to make some sort of hoop system to properly cover my flower beds and raised garden beds. I'm really impressed with how well this fabric protected my plants.

Late fall I invested in getting plants installed. I am in some planting groups and was privy to conversations about frost killing plants. We are now in the midst of an ice and snow storm and I am so happy I have these. Gives me one less thing to worry about.

I am a flower farm in Oklahoma and our winters really vary year by year. Some years we will have ice storms and heavy snow fall, while others are pretty mild with weather being in the 50s.What’s cool about these is that either way, it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing.Tunnels are excellent for getting a head start on your next years spring. You can use them for things like ranunculous, and cold hardy annuals such as snapdragons. (Yes! Snaps can live in the cold!)I also like to clear out an area, sprinkle seeds and then cover, so that way the birds don’t eat them, that allows ample time for the seeds to germinate in the cold, and then grow with protection. Starting plants early this way actually makes them tougher.I use tunnels like this every year, I call them caterpillar tunnels. To accomplish this, you will need the frame supports, which are pretty cheap on amazon. Or you can always make your own with PVC and such.I could see a use for it being cut down to size to protect trees and other tender babies.Recommend! Only time will tell on how durable it is, but it feels just the same as nice quality ones I’ve ordered in the past. Five stars. This is legit a gardeners best friend!
