Troubleshooting

1

Reasons why tape won't hook up

1. Can't operate the plant tying machine or the handle is not pressed to the bottom resulting in the hook is not open, need to follow the instructions for correct operation

2. Nails are blocked at the mouth of the nail, you need to clean up all the nails.

3. The machine pressure piece is deformed, resulting in the pressure piece against the blade, the handle can not be pressed down.

4. Nail groove did not spring upward, use a screwdriver to pry it back to make it spring back, and then clean up all the nails

Reasons why the blade does not cut the tape

Reasons why the blade does not cut the tape

1. First determine whether the nail is good or not, if the nail is stuck in the mouth of the nail, there will be a failure

2. Blade blunt, need to replace the new blade (operation method reference manual)

3

Reasons for poor nail setting

1. Nails are installed backwards

2. The handle is not pressed to the bottom

2. The mouth of the nail is blocked by nails

Staples jam easily. Can’t be cleared. Instructions not helpful. Possibly my worst tool purchase; spend 2 hrs clearing jams, 5 min arranging plants.

I got this for my father for Father’s Day, he is an avid gardener. Where he used to use wire ties to try to secure his tomatoe vines to the cages allowing them to crawl upward, he swapped our for these. For the cost it is great. The only complaint is that sometimes the tape doesn’t stick after you do one of the jobs and you have to use your hands to reset the gadget so you can tape together the next vegetable vine. But if you get into a rhythm it keeps it’s integrity and works really well

Easily my favorite and most useful garden tool I’ve ever purchased, wish I had one years ago when I first started gardening, no more struggling to get plant clips hooked up

Ok. To be honest I wasn’t going to buy this, I wanted a high end name brand one…. My wife intervened and made me go with this one….It does the trick, we have a large garden, 60’ rows of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers etc. we used this successfully to grow our tomatoes on trellis ropes and they are holding up perfectly. I’ve already burned through several rolls of plastic and it’s still working perfectly.

Once you get the hang of it, this is a great little machine. We tied up everything in the garden and they haven't come apart at all. Great little garden tool. Bought two so we can gift one also.

Like the title says, I had to sit down and play with it for about 30 mins before I figured out how everything works. After I figured it out, it works phenomenally. One firm press to cut and staple the ribbon in one motion. Then one light press for the tooth to catch and reload more ribbon. A video about this product would explain it better. Definitely worth the value after the learning curve.

I purchased this to try for my garden. Works great for tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkin, and any climbing veggie. The reason i didn't give it a 5 was because every now and then it jams a little with tape caught in the top. Takes a bit to get it going again but requires a little effort rethreading the tape.

Once you figure out how to use it and get the hang of it, it’s quite easy to maneuver and use. I use this tape for my blackberry and raspberry bushes, tomato and pepper plants, cucumber vines, and watermelon vines. Seriously, use it for every plant!

My garden is finally tamed and structured. Took a few mins to get the hang of it (how much pressure to use without pulling the tape off hook and how to reset when that happens) but after that I was flying and find it super easy to use.

I've never had a tool for tying up my tomatoes before and this makes that chore both quick and easy. What more could I ask for? Amended 6/12/2023 - I bought this well ahead of the gardening season and tested it and it worked well. Recently (after owning it for more than 30 days), I tied up 7 tomato plants and a spring broke. I found a suitable replacement spring and thought I'd soldier on. Then pulling tape out of the roll and stapling became somewhat erratic and unreliable. I would like to just exchange the item because I feel this particular tool is a bad example and another might work quite well. But it's after the 30 day return window, so it appears I'm kind of screwed.
