Braking unit works great, easy to mount and wire into my harness, I’ve had no issues with it. Programming was simple as well, if you are alone while programming just use a piece of wood or something to wedge the brake pedal and it’s simple to do alone. I have a 77 Chevy K20 4x4 and I like that I don’t have a controller that I had to mount on the interior where my knees would slam into it and not having to run wiring down the length of the pickup, having it just right there next to the tongue on the trailer is so much simpler. If you’re looking for a great brake controller that is simple to use and mount up I definitely recommend this unit, I certainly was not disappointed in this purchase what so ever.

I’m really happy with this product! Installed it on my 2019 Minnie Winnie travel trailer - towing with a BMW X1.I tried a Kurt Echo brake controller before this one, but that was awful. It would apply the brakes while I was accelerating.This product seems to be well designed and reliable. Installation was easy for me. I was lucky to find a wiring diagram for my trailer and most of the wiring colors matched up anyway. Calibration was super simple. I like that you can make fine adjustments while driving. I was able to get if dialed for a smooth ride.I called their support line before installing because I had a question about the power wire. I ended up connecting to the running lights for power. I was able to connect with someone instantly and they were very helpful. Their docs even say they’ll answer the phone on holidays.

I've had the brake system installed now for about 6 months. The install was painless. I put the module in my trailer tool box which was not necessary but, keeps it out of the weather and very convenient. I used just a four wire system and used my lights for the power feed. The system works flawlessly. I used the remote when I burnished my new brakes, in order to bypass my vehicle brakes and properly seat my new brake pads.For me this is an end all system. I cannot think of a reason that I would install a different system. Before I installed I contacted costumer service with a couple of questions and they got back to me very promptly.Highly recommend this brake system.

Installation was very easy and initial setup with my vehicle was very easy. Used this brake controller to mount on a 2013 Aliner Ranger RV. Controller was mounted to the frame under the front lip of the Aliner body. Wiring was done by an RV service dealer but appears to be very easy. Initial setup was very easy - literally press and hold some buttons. Wanted a controller that was not mounted/wired into my new Jeep Grand Cherokee to make sure that there were no warranty issues if electrical problems arose. Controller seems to work well.

I am educated in Electrical/electronics and it took quite a bit of time to figure out with barely helpful instructions. As I worked through what to do to get it installed right, knowing a wrong connection might ruin it before I got to use it, I could see how a professional was needed for anyone without an adequate background. I was thinking I needed to hire an expert if I could find one while working it out. Then I finally put my expertise to work and became the expert.Aren't there technical writers out there that need work they could have hired to write good instructions?It's also notable the instructions were a translation from another language as English rules weren't there and another reason I had to work through the logic of the instructions. I doubt an expert would find it easy to install without experience and only the instructions as a guide. By the way...I looked at the youtube videos offered and they were worse than helpful because they weren't the model I was working with.But it works very nicely. Best of luck.2nd year began randomly locking up trailer brakes. Traveling highways, in intersections, turning, all unexplainable and sometimes dangerous. Now it happens frequently. Like several times an hour. Yet still works for braking. Has 3 years warranty. Will see how well the back this product.Later: Excellent product support. This is an older designed unit. Took time troubleshooting with me. Sending me a new unit...this an old design one they are sending a return shipping label for so they can test it for what went wrong. Could not ask for better support.The unit works as it is supposed to. That part did not fail. Something was causing it to brake when it was not wanted.

I have bought many products over my many years and have contacted numerous customer service departments but I have never experienced the level of service I received from Carlton at Autowbrake. I had some issues with my Autowbrake (probably due to my wiring) and called their "hotline" for help. Carlton, who I would like to mention was on vacation with his family, promptly returned my call and spent the next few hours working with me to resolve my issue. We used video calling so that he could see the units reaction to his instructions and it worked great. When all was said and done, I took a test drive with the trailer and the unit worked flawlessly. I am looking forward to our 3,500 mile trip with my trailer and am happy I did not have to install a brake controller in my motorhome. I am very impressed by the quality of the unit and the instructions, it was only my faulty wiring that caused me to have any issues at all.
