Drum Brake Measuring Tool
This brake gauge measuring tool is used for adjusting brake shoes and installing drums
When the brake shoes wear against the drum, the drum becomes wider. Once it exceeds the manufacturer's recommended maximum, you'll experience improper brake function, noisy brakes, and brake judder through the pedal
We recommend cleaning any machined parts before reinstalling them on your vehicle, whether they are drums or rotors. If you don't clean these parts and just install them, debris can contaminate your brake shoes, leading to issues such as noise and a groaning sound.

Simple and easy to use tool! Tis tools does exactly what it should, measures the size of the brake drum and lets you transfer that to the show adjustments before installing the drum. A great time saving tool.

My 1983 K20 has 13 inch brakes and this accommodates them easily. Saves tons of time doing drum brake jobs since you can get the clearance right without having to crawl underneath and screwing around with a brake spoon.

I should have looked for something like this a long time ago! It’s well built, extremely simple, does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. It removes the frustrating gymnastics of adjusting the shoes for adequate clearance before sliding the drum over them.

This is a handy tool to measure and evaluate you brake pads and drums to make sure they are still in spec. Sure, you could use a tape measure, but this nice tool lets you set the measurement down where it's needed and then read in better lighting. A great DIY accessory.
