After trying a number of different battery operated systems, it was a joy to find one that really works. Systems that rely totally on batteries aren't worth the money. This one does require an outlet for the reciever end.

This is a great product. I've installed it on the outside of a wooden fence, approximately 300 feet and through my house. It works great and the doorbell is loud. It also has a flashing light. Brilliant product. Worth the money. Easy installation.

I do wonder why so many people rated this doorbell as being hard to install/operate. I am a blind in one eye 80-year-old woman and I had no problem whatsoever. Gotta say, when testing the various tones, the police/firetruck siren set my dogs to howling.

I do not do many reviews. But I thought this deserved one. I tried other wireless doorbells. This is the only one that worked. I have had it for almost a year. It is mounted on the outside of a concrete wall(gate entrance) about 300 feet from the house. Others promise great distances but no others worked. Minus one star for the price.
