This is a pretty good tamper, BUT there are some issues that you must be made aware of before you buy:1. The box it arrives in will be damaged, the cardboard isn't thick enough and (funnily enough) the box appears to be reused from the Chinese packaging and just turned inside out. As such, 90 percent of the text on the box is all Chinese. Additionally, the single sheet for instructions (or whatever it is) is also in Chinese.2. My tamper arrived looking used, even though I bought it new. (And I'm talking about it looking government worker used, meaning it was dropped a thousand times by some government employee who didn't care.) Still worked, but it wasn't pretty.3. Since everything is in Chinese, you don't know the size of the fitting at the top. A 3/8 female connector will work fine for it. :)4. You'll need a big air compressor to keep up with the air use of this thing.Now, with all of that being said, I'm actually pleased with this unit. While there is room for improvement, I think it's worthy of 4-stars! It works well, everything is in order and accounted for (even though it wasn't the prettiest), and it's a really, really simple thing to use, so Chinese instructions probably won't slow you down. It's also a little slow, but that's more than alright with me, especially at the ~$130 price point that I paid. This is a great value unit.

Been using this for our rammed earth build. It’s small enough to fit in between rebar and insulation. It’s medium in weight compared to $1500 machines, and about half the speed at 600.Surprising quality for such an affordable price.
