Received this product with one base cover and one PoE adapter missing. I used a 12 VDC power supply to turn the slave unit on and the PoE adapter for the master. All lights indicate both units are working but I cannot connect the ethernet to my computer. Product and tech support is almost nonexistent. After 4 hours I still am unable to get this product working....UPDATE:After several emails to the Tech Support and the frustration of doing my best to use this product I have to call it quits and choose to return this product to it's seller. Several things I discovered and feel to share them, first and foremost is this isn't any gigabit device and the most anyone can hope for will be 400-600 megabits according to tech support . I finally was able to achieve 224 mbs with both units lying on the floor about 1 foot apart and facing each other but never got them to communicate over the 100 or so yards I needed. Next it is almost impossible to log into the units unless you have an in depth knowledge of networking. Thirdly the documentation is terrible and tech support has no phone number so email is the only method of communication. My final tidbit is I have over 40 years working in computers, networking and electronics and was unable to use this product. There are many other solutions to long range network solutions and my recommendation would be to do research before paying a premium price for an inferior product!

I worked with this system for many hours trying every configuration but couldn't get it to transfer data. Finally I plugged the ethernet directly into the router in the closet and that worked. Everything else works fine with my separate 10G switch. Maybe this can save some of you some time if you can't get it to work right out of the box. Once it was working, I now have internet connection to my garage in the apartment complex so I can open the garage door with an App. I live on the second floor and don't have direct line of site to the garage and goes through some trees. The distance is about ¼ mile. It works as I hoped it would. I installed a wireless router in the garage and the speed is about 15-20Mbit which is plenty fast enough for what I need. Without the trees I'm sure it would be much faster. The switch that is not compatible is a Trendnet TEG-S750. I have Summit broadband 2Gb fiberoptic service.

We are using the bridges to get internet from one building to another for an amateur radio application. Unfortunately one of the units failed out of the box. I contacted Richbarn and before I could think about it, Richbarn sent me a replacement set of bridges. We were quickly on the air with internet in our other building. I could not ask for better customer service! In our case, there was a conduit between buildings that "in theory" we could have used to run a cat5 cable between buildings. However, it was not possible to squeeze an additional cable through the conduit, so a radio link between the buildings was the only solution. Our wireless bridge is working fine and our amateur radio system is up and running. With the replacement units installed, it took us about an hour to set up and configure our remote system.

Plug in the pair and in -10s they will link and you have a network. It’s that easy. 4 stars because I could not log in as admin and change the credentials even though I followed the instuctions
