This is not the go-to for on demand water movement. If your basement is flooding this will not save you. But you want to move water with a hose this is a good way to do it.

I believe the pump is mislabeled. I measured the input wattage into the pump and it was only about 350 watts which is less than .5 HP when they are marketing it as a 2hp pump which would draw 1,500 watts of power. Where is it from? China.

I got this pump to help with draining my intex type above ground pool vs using the pool plug- worked great! Really like that I can attach an extension hose so that it drains out to where I want it vs flowing into my flower beds. This works as described, great for routine jobs.

I got this little submersible pump mostly for draining my kid's pool, our hot tub and occasional use in the basement, and it’s turned out to be a lot more capable than I expected. For a compact unit, it moves water fast—faster than a garden hose flow by a mile. I’ve used it to empty out a pool, clear standing water near the foundation during a heavy rain, and even pump out a concrete irrigation pit. Each time, it fired right up and did the job quickly. The 10-foot cord gives you some room to work with but I use a 50fi extenstion cord., The included hose adapters made hookup easy.It’s not an industrial-grade, 4000GPH sump pump with a float switch and giant discharge port, but for anything short of a nonstop basement flood, this thing holds its own just fine. It does hum a bit while running, but it’s not obnoxious. It has taken a few knocks without issue—feels solid for the price. For light to moderate-duty tasks around the house, it’s a dependable little workhorse I’m glad to have on hand.
