I love how versatile these bags are - the packaging indicates all sorts of uses for them and doesn't even cover the idea of using them to weigh down the pool ladder. I got them for that, and they do a great job keeping the ladder from rising up on my above ground pool. I wish I found them years ago, because we've been just dealing with this issue for over a decade! It never occurred to me to use sandbags, how simple and effective!These are SUPER durable, rugged bags. I think they'll last for years. I like that they're blue, they don't stand out like an eyesore by the pool.The straps keep them securely in place and I don't think any amount of weather will move them - they're solid.Overall, a 10 out of 10 - they get the job done and look like they'll last. Some stairs request that you fill the stairs themselves with sand. We take down everything after each season and end up losing lots of sand and getting it everywhere.These bags are a great way to keep pool steps anchored. One bag of filter sand fills two of the 10 liter bags. What we discovered though was that instead of using the long straps, we fasten the bag clips around the stairs.We are very pleased with this method and after the season, we'll just leave the bags intact until next year.
