Step 1: Determineair conditioner window kit Panel Connection Sequence Based on your air conditioner’s installation environment, arrange the panels in the optimal sequence. Panels with holes are recommended for the bottom position or second connection point.
Step 2: Assemble theair conditioner window panels
· Insert screws from the back of the wider outer panel into the screw base.
· Attach the vertical connector piece to the inner panel’s middle track and tighten the screws from the front of the outer panel.
· Repeat until all panels are securely connected according to your window/door height.
Step 3: Adjust portable ac window vent kit Panel Height Loosen screws as needed to stretch or shorten panels to match your window/door height.
Step 4: Secure Panels to the Frame Insert the adjusted panels into the side and top grooves of the sliding window frame. Ensure panels are vertical and free from movement.
Step 5: Connect the Hose
· Stretch one end of the hose and rotate it counterclockwise onto the universal connector.
· Attach the connector to the pre-drilled panel.

If you have a 6" Drasum hose it won't fit. I used Gorilla Tape all around to keep it in position.

Worked great for what we needed. The piece that came with our ac unit didn’t fit our particular window. This one gives you lots of pieces to fit it in either a small window or sliding door. The screws keep the pieces in place. There is no gap when sliding the pieces together too which is nice for a good seal.

Awesome price, easy to install and looks good! I did add a piece of wood on top simply because it’s on my main floor and just want it for extra security! I’ve shown my unit in case you have the same one and wondered if this would fit! I’m pretty happy with it.My only complaint is the black foam tape messed up the clean white!Non sticky foam tubing might be better?!?!

This kit is as good as you'll find elsewhere, akin to an OEM that comes with portable AC units.Note the size to be sure it fits your unit. Fits my Toshiba.

I had read previous reviews and agree that the written instructions aren't great. I watched the instructional video provided on the products page here on Amazon. I took screen shots of all the nuances and it worked well. The mistake I made, is it was too long and I didn't consider measuring the length of the window before I ordered. But, we were able to cut it down to make it fit. Also, another tip for fitting the hose into this adaptor (I read reviews where it didn't fit) and here is what we did: we used a wire cutter and snapped the first wire on the hose so that it would collapse and we could then mold it to fit into the hole provided. We also used duct tape to seal both ends of the hose into the AC unit and this adaptor piece. Honestly, I cannot imagine one would ever fit perfectly without some sort of rigging (we used silver duct tape for the security but will cover it up with white tape for aesthetics. Its in our bedroom so its not like people will see it, but for those who keep it in a more public place in their home should consider this option). Also, keep in mind that the hose has some weight on it and this duct tape not only seals the hose into the adaptor and AC unit outlet, but it also helps to alleviate the downward pressure of the weight of the hose. Lastly, we didn't use the air seal yet so I don't know how well that will work. Overall, I think this is a very acceptable product for the price but know that the video makes it look simpler than it is and to embrace duct tape to perfect the functionality of it. (I think it was at least half the price of what I could buy it for at a local store like Home Depot).

The 'connect to the hose' portion of this kit will not fit my portable AC unit, even tho the hose is the correct size. The connector is made to screw into two projections. My unit has three tabs and the connector won't fit over them. There should be some way to correctly identify how this connection works before ordering.The instructions are also lacking in clarity - it doesn't explain how to assemble the window sections, just saying loosen a screw (but there weren't any screws on the plates yet, just in little plastic bags.)

First off, the fitting used to attach the hose to the window kit is nearly impossible to install onto the hose - it required many awful attempts with needle nose pliers and in turn, damaged the hose itself. Second, the hole in the window kit where the hose is attached is a couple mm too wide in diameter (give or take) and any change in pressure from my ac unit causes the hose to fall out of the window kit. Third, the way the window bracket is designed leaves a giant gap on either side of the center bracket, allowing an unintentional draft - of course they attempt to remedy this by including foam tape, but the foam tape is thicker than the gap itself, which creates two more gaps on the top and bottom brackets when you close the window.All in all, this was just a really terrible experience.

This was super easy to install and works perfectly for the ac unit in my bedroom. I was having trouble finding one tall enough for our large windows but this one is adjustable to the perfect size. I didn’t use the tape that’s supposed to seal it. I just put this in the opening and closed the window to hold it. Because it fits just inside the frame, I’ve found that on cooler nights I can still slide the window open for the breeze and it stays in place. I love it! So much better than the strip of cardboard I had before!! 😉
