I got this to be used as a night light. However out of the box, it would not stay lit for the whole night. So we now switch it on, but not light it until we need it by keeping it in an easy to reach place where we can hit the top light switch. BTW, it is actually a bit too bright to be used as a night light.

Really bright night light..I thought by the description it changed to different colors but it doesn't. It changes from bright to dim. I'd recommend it though.
