THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PRODUCT! This caught on total FIRE within 45 seconds of being turned on, when it was on ice. The plastic end melted off within seconds and it became a torch. This is the worst item I have ever purchased off Amazon and in my experience, it should not be sold as it is basically a torch and will self-ignite almost immediately after turning it on.

We were going to have a baptism service and needed a way to warm up the water so it wouldn't be quite so cold. I found this little heater and decided it looked like the perfect solution.The immersion heater comes packaged with numerous warnings about not using the pool with the heater in place, watching over whatever you are trying to warm, etc. Immediately, my anxiety level shot up because when there are this many warnings, one must wonder what kinds of safety protocols are built into the device. I literally felt like I had to stand there staring at the buckets and the tub to make sure no one touched anything, and only plugged it in/unplugged it at the outlet, because I really didn't want to get too close. Yes - I was almost too afraid of the warnings to trust the product to do its job safely.However, the heater was remarkably effective at warming the water and before the time we needed it, we had warmed a lot of water from cold outside temperature to manageable for people to use. We had left it running overnight to accomplish this, but it was a lot of water in the tub!I wouldn't suggest this for a large pool, it won't heat a hot tub to high temperatures, but for a 5-gallon bucket or similar, this will make it nice and warm for whatever needs you may have. Just know that if you are like me, you'll be worried the whole time it is set up that it is unsafe to use.
