I already own a PDW 'Danger Zone' taillight, and I've found it to be an excellent accessory. So I thought this set would be a solid product. BUT...-Out of the box I wasn't impressed with the hard plastics; both lights felt like it would upon impact, and I drop stuff occasionally.-The headlight was also a lot larger than I expected. That's not a deal breaker, but it DID look and feel cheap.-But I decided to try the tail light. I unpacked the unit and discovered a Phillips head was needed to remove the screw that secured the back. Clunky because I'm used to a small notch for a flathead or a dime to swap batteries, but still not a show stopper. I know there are rechargeable USB units, but I prefer to use my own rechargeable AAA and AA batteries. I recycle them when they wear out.-I removed the plastic strip, and secured the batteries. No light. Tested batteries with my multimeter, and out of the box they were both dead. So I opened the taillight back up and popped a in couple of my new AAAs. After tightening the back on, still no light.-So back to Amazon it goes. That's my experience, glean from it what you will. But in my opinion there are better options.**Peace, and Safe Rides!

If you're looking for a "city" light set, this is a great value. These lights are best for being seen on the street or path.Mounting brackets are good quality. The tail light isn't my first choice (I think wider lights are more visible in the "sea" of lights on a nighttime city street, but it is effective and i've never had an issue with one of these lights failing. (water seepage into the light is a common source of failure on other lights). As a bonus, the tail light will also mount to similar Planet Bike brand brackets. It makes a small (single LED) but bright amount of light. The headlight is not bright enough to safely navigate dark suburban areas (where there are competing light sources and full darkness). The headlight is barely enough to get you safely down a dark path at maybe half of normal speed.

The rear light is excellent. The front light is good but is not quite bright enough to reveal obstacles at high speed.Good enough for road cycling but needs to be brighter for off-road. Generally satisfied.

Let me start out by saying I'm super cheap and wanted something that would last me a longtime. I bought this set from my LBS and installed it right away. The design and installation is absolutely wonderful and easy. One of the best I have ever encountered, hands down. But the front light (after charging it) seemed bright but was ultimately as bright as a flickering candle. The light is so poor, darkness absorbs it. Some reviewers said its a good "be seen, not to see light," but why pay that much? Hell a Knog is a GREAT "be seen" light and a quarter of its size and price. Now the tail light on the other hand was incredibly bright. I was surprised that I could look to the side while riding and see red glowing on buildings and sidewalk and I pedaled forward. That was quality and I wholeheartedly recommend that product. Sadly someone stole (the incredibly easy to install) tail light from me, yet left me with the incredibly ineffective front light. For the price I paid and the sheer size of the front light, I expected something brighter than my (cheap) Blackburn and lower wattage CatEye. Disappointment doesn't sum up my feelings with this product. But one good thing happened, annoyance and disgust prompted me to research lights with good candlepower and reasonably priced and I am now the proud owner of a Cygolite Expillion and EVERYONE is sick of me talking about how wonderful the light is. It's crazy how great it is.Save your money and buy Knog for the same wattage, or ANYTHING else for more illumination.

Good rugged light. I really like the Radbot tail-light, (its big brother radbot1000 is still brighter though).

This is a good light kit at a good value. Do be aware though that the rear light puts out half of the wattage that it's like designed single sold one does, but it still gets the job done and provides for safety.

These lights do the trick for me and keep me safe at night, that is if the batteries are still good. The headlight turned on in my bag and drained my batteries completely, so I had to ride home at night with no headlight. Kind of dangerous. The tail light doesn't have this problem usually, because you have to hold down the power button to turn it on, but this is not the case with the headlight. I just have to be more careful now and store the headlight where the button won't get pressed if possible.

Wonderful. Inexperienced but really like how easy to mount and take off to tuck into my helmet so they don't disappear off my bike.
