Plastic is strong but seems like if you bent it as hard as you could it would break. So just don't do that. Works as intended so giving 5 stars.

I have several Ibera bike rear racks and there is no better way to attach a red light to them than a bracket. Even the matching bags don't hold any light steadily. The shortcomings on this brackets is the hardware. The picture shows that small lockwasher at the bolt. In reality the bolt goes on first (hexa shaped hole) and on the other end the the big flat washer, followed by the smaller lockwasher then the nut. For a proper fit, 2-3 threads should show above the nut. Not so in this case. The locking mechanism is to be handled delicately as the tab could break. I have tried this for about a dozen times and it's held up. Just handle carefully. I have not had a light fall off yet. The low rating is due to the description not being accurate and the hardware not being adequate. Decent light for a PDW HotZone light. Make sure you do not get a fake PDW light, even from Amazon. I got those too, and PDW verified they are fake, even @ Amazon. Hope this helps. I went ahead and replaced with 5/16 bolts a bit longer and self locking nuts.

It's a tail light bracket, which does it's job very well. The holes line up perfectly with the Bontrager rear rack that my wife owns, it feels solid and high quality, and it was a breeze to install this thing. Not much more I can say about it....

Simple and useful (may work with some other lights as well, but works perfectly with Portland Design Works taillights)

I have a PDW rack on the tandem so naturally I bought this PDW bracket to go with. It's a plastic light bracket so what's to say? Well, the fit is spot on and secure as you would expect and It puts the PDW tail light in a perfect position for maximum visibility. It seems as durable as any bracket out there. The light fits snug but is easily removable. Portland Design Works makes good stuff.

I have a no-brand rear carrier rack. I bought the excellent Portland Design rear light but had some doubts about being able to attach it to my carrier. The Rack Bracket, though clearly not specifically designed for my carrier, was easy to install and has held my light over some pretty rough spots.I lent my rear light to a friend so he could try it out. His carrier's configuration was nothing like mine but the Rack Bracket again easily fit and held the light securely. If you need to install a light bracket on your rear carrier, this product makes your choice a no-brainier. Get it: it hold your rear light tightly and it fits seemingly all carriers.

I never would have guessed this item would fit so well on my rear rack! And the more surprising part is how well it works with the Portland Design Works Danger Zone Tail Light! Who would have guessed?Seriously though, get this if you want to mount your light to the rear rack of your bike. Works beautifully with Topeak racks.

I ordered two different PDW tail lights - the Radbot 1000 and the Danger Zone, and I ordered one of these rack bracket kits as well. This mounting hardware actually comes with the Radbot 1000, but not the Danger Zone.I used the the one that came with the Radbot 1000 to attach it to my rear rack. It worked great. I used the two vertical holes, which are standard for rear reflectors. There is also the wider horizontal pair of holes to use if that fits your bicycle rack better.I'm going to keep the extra rack bracket kit I ordered as a back-up, even though the quality is good and I'll likely never need it. The Radbot 1000 is the best taillight I have seen and I love it. I'm using the Danger Zone as a clip-on second light, for more visibility. But if you choose the Danger Zone light and want to mount it to the bicycle rear rack, you will want to order one of these rack brackets, since it doesn't come with the Danger Zone.
