Using with Poulan PP133, first go around takes many small back and forth cuts to keep RPMs up. So a lot of work for first edging in years. But neighbours have complimented me on my edging and tool, so should be easier to use machine for periodic edge maintenance.

Great Lawn edger.Haven't had to replace the blade yet but it is mostly made out of metal and feels quality. You do not have to shapen the blade. (I thought you had to)It makes the lawn look way better!

Does not fit my weed eater!!!! Time to find a power head. Bought a power head item works well. They need a more thorough compatible list.

I am always skeptical of trimmer attachments, but I have a trimmer that I am downgrading to edging and I didn't want to buy a dedicated edger. That was the reason for an attachment purchase. The reason I chose the Poulan over my initial choice of the Troy Bilt was due to the positive reviews for the Poulan. I don't have anything negative to say about this product. The guide wheel is a good size and placed well for pivoting the blade. The blade is sharp out of the box. The depth adjustment is simple and works well. I was skeptical about the bend of the shaft being under rather than over like most other edger attachments. However, with the wheel placement, I found it to make for easy control.I used it to edge about 200 feet of driveway and curb that hasn't been treated in over 4 years. I am very happy with the results. The edge is straight and very clean looking. I finished at full depth using 4 passes. A couple of thoughts: If your edges aren't already cut it will take multiple passes. Be patient with it and let the blade do the work. I have a 4 cycle Troy Bilt trimmer 29cc engine at 6800 rpm. In my opinion I'm at the low end of performance. I would recommend a 2 cycle and larger engine if possible. However, with patience, you can get great results with the same specs as my trimmer. If you don't have to make the initial edge cut than a low performance trimmer should be fine for maintenance cuts. Final thought, I would highly recommend this edger as long as you have a trimmer that can power it according to your need. It is a great addition to my equipment.

I bought this edger attachment because I already had used a few poulan attachments and (so far) had pretty good luck with them. The edger does a pretty good job and most of the problems I've had with it have been due more so to my weedeater and not with the attachment itself. The first problem I had was there was a lot of slack in the connection between the edger and the weedeater. I had all of the hand knobs tightened as tightly as I could without snapping them off and was still having issues with the edger wobbling. I was able to take a pair of pliers and tighten the two plates where the knobs come together, which had apparently come slightly apart. Any slack at all in the connection seems to just make the edger wobble around everywhere, which isn't really an issue if you don't mind your yard looking like you edged it completely drunk. If you can get all the bolts and knobs tightened down, the edger works great. The depth attachment works pretty well, it's just a bit of a pain if you were going to be constantly changing depths. For my purposes, I never mess with it (after getting it initially dialed in), so it isn't much of an issue for me.For anyone with a solid weedeater looking for a decently priced edger, this is a pretty good unit.

I must say that I am very satisfied with this product. The Poulan PP1000E edger performs exactly as advertised. This is the first attachment I purchased for my Troy-Bilt TB20CS (31cc 2 stroke engine.) I was skeptical about initially purchasing this product as I wasn't 100% sure it would fit.Once the package arrived (in only 3 days with standard shipping,) I was a bit concerned as the packaging was significantly smashed. However, once I opened the box my mind was put at ease. The attachment was in mint condition and fit like a glove. I was off and edging within 60 seconds of opening the box. The edger will attach to most string trimmers that are attachment capable and is very user friendly. I’ve outlined my positives and negatives of this product.Positives• User friendly• Easily attached to string trimmer• Easy adjustability of edge depth• Durable and reliable construction• Creates a very nice edge• A shaft cover is provided when the attachment is in storageNegatives• Adds an extra 7lbs to your string trimmer• Can drift from the edge at timesBecause of the durable construction, and use of a heavy duty gear box, the overall product weight was more than I was accustomed to. The support wheel helps greatly in offsetting this weight issue. Getting the hang of the edger was not difficult; however practice will help my edges in the future. My edger seemed to get bogged down at times due to my wet/over grown edges, and I don’t know that I’d recommend this product to string trimmers with much smaller engines. All in all I was very satisfied with this product, and if given the opportunity would purchase the product again.
