This is a very nice little cross stitch kit. Easy to follow, not too complicated so ok for newbies to cross stitch. I like that it has a purpose after you've done it too. Would make a great present. A touch expensive I feel.

I’m new to cross-stitch and chose this as a first set to do while traveling. I also bought a separate wooden hoop that I used to stitch on the go.The pattern itself is very clear, and it comes with more than enough floss for every color. I messed up a few times, but that’s more from being new to counted cross stitch and not due to the pattern.However, the instructions to blanket-stitch the outside were hard to follow. Only after getting most of the way through did I realize mine didn’t match the double-blanket stitch on the photo, but I’m not sure how I was supposed to do that. Also, the two pieces of Aida fabric were not quite the same size so it was hard to trim it to line them up for a perfect stitch.Overall I was pretty happy with this, but I’m not sure I’ll do another from this company again.

The only reason I gave a 4 was they do not give the floss brand, name, and color number used, you have do try to match it if you ever want to sew again.
