Great braid, but I feel like it’s not much thinner than their 8lb or 10lb braid. Nevertheless, awesome quality, easy casting, and super strong.

I use Power Pro braided line on all my reels. I fish bass, pike, trout and salmon. I never have an issue with any of it. Most recently I purchased the 5lb braid for an ultra light rod for creek fishing trout. It's absolutely perfect. I also have it, a heavier test, on a centerpin rod for trout that I use in the rivers when catching huge trout. I've even catch 20lb+ salmon using this line. The key is to spool your reel with a mono backer and then double uni to braided line and reel it tight and don't let the line twist. You'll never have an issue or spinning reels or baitcasters.

The line itself is actually very nice and strong. Even pulling it tight with my hands, I found it VERY hard to break. My issue with the line is the thickness and the braid. The line seems to get caught in the clearance of the plastic in the reel (ie the spool and drag knob) very easily. The braid of line seems to want to curl around itself. I don't consider myself a pro fisherman but I do get by and I don't think I would buy this line again.
