Power Probe 3
Power Probe 3 uses a 20ft cable which attaches to the vehicle’s battery, allowing the user to perform an electrical test anywhere in, or around the vehicle.
The PP3 is a Voltmeter and Continuity Tester, with Audible & Visual indicators along with two LED headlights to light up your work area. This circuit tester also supplies Battery Voltage or Ground to activate components. The housing is sleek and feels great in your hand. This powerful time-saver tool is perfect for every level of technician.

While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode. Contact the probe tip to a NEGATIVE circuit. The green negative sign “-” LED will light. If the audio feature is turned on, a low pitched tone will sound.
While the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode, contact the probe tip to a POSITIVE circuit. The red positive sign “+” LED will light and the voltage reading of the circuit will be indicated on the LCD display. If the audio feature is turned on, a high pitched tone will sound.
1. Connect the PP3 to a good battery.
2. Clip the auxiliary ground clip to the trailer ground.
3. Probe the contacts at the jack and then apply voltage to them. This lets you check the func-tion and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that con-tact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down (15 sec.) and depress-ing the reset button until in clicks into place.

This is my third probe so far… and I love this design. This is better than any other versions of you do 12v aftermarket wiring or run basic diagnostics. I have other equipment for more complex diagnostics but so far this is the best thing in the market for the simple +/- stuff. There is no delay on it like other Power Probe versions, and it does not have a swappable fuse (hard to get) that blows when you short it with the ground lead like the newer version does. This one has a protection circuit breaker that is easy to reset without sacrificing time or money and can be done on the spot.I’m in love with this and it’s on the supplies list for all of my trainees!

This tool is a must for doing electrical work on a car, truck, or even a lawn tractor. It is much better than using a test light or using wires to make a connection to test for a hot or ground circuit. A definite must have and makes electrical repairs easy

I bought this for my husband. His boss has one. He had to use it on one of the tow trucks we have. And it is well worth its weight in gold and then some. You will never regret this purchase. I know we don’t. After all the test lights we have bought and went through I should have just purchased this from the beginning. It is very easy to use. Very easy to read. Very easy to understand. The price for this was perfect! Again making it well worth it! Definitely a recommendation for anyone who has electrical issues with any kind of vehicles

I bought same thing from a different seller(cheaper price) and recived a used probe that someone switched out so i ended up returning it and buys this.... thats what i shoulnd of done in the first place...anyways i received this and no issues all packed in bags and works amazing... cant wait to do some projects... i use to use my dads old power probe 2 and loved it but this is a nice upgradeTo anyone wondering or on the fence about it just buy it you'll thank me laterjust be CAREFUL if you dont know what your doing and feed power or ground to the wrong thing you can do lots of damage!!!

Wir haben schon seit jahren das Vorgängermodell im (fast) täglichen Einsatz. Für die schnelle Fehlersuche bei den üblichen Kleinigkeiten wie defekten Lampen, Hupen, Scheibenwaschpumpen, Sicherungen, Schaltern usw. gibt's nix besseres. Auch eine schlechte Masseverbindung ist schnell und zuverlässig gefunden. Für den Preis sollte das in keiner KFZ-Werkstatt fehlen.

what a great tool,not cheap but this will do all i need it for and more,the cigarette plug is very handy,watch the you tube clips for all it can do,you will be impressed

Great tool and surprisingly versatile. I like the way you can provide either power or an earth with the press of a switch. Also like the led illination for when you're probing in a dark place. If you're buying one and you're not sure about using it check out you tube there are plenty of instructional videos on there.
