Best cable ever! This is my second time replacing the cable (different door). The first time I got a cable that didn't come with the attachments that hock to the door just because it was 15$ cheaper. What a mistake, had to but another toll to get it done.This cable already comes with those hocks, they are strong and the right length (picture 3).Step 1, attached the cables to the assembly door (picture 2). Step 2, install the assembly on the van. Step 3, attached the cable to the door, Step 4, insert the hocks into the black wheel then the black wheel (FYI: the left side (the smaller cable) attaches under the wheel and the right side (the longer cable) attaches at the top) turn the cable into the wheel and gently set it into the motor assembly (because of the springs, you have a little to room to play with). Don’t forget to tighten the bolt of the motor before manually open and close the door to assess everything works. Once you turn on the switch to automatically open and close the door, the motor will reset itself.**** DO NOT order the cable if your plastic wheel groves are damage (Picture 1). It won’t work unfortunately!!! The groves are what keeps the cable in place. Also, there’s no where you can get a new one and you will need to buy a new assembly. That’s what happened to me the first time and wasted my time, a cable and now have a tool that I will never use. Good luck and hopes this help you.

Amazon’s price is much cheaper than the Honda dealership price…now to install it…UTube has great videos for DIY folks

These cables were exactly what I needed for my 2014 Honda Odyssey. I used them with a youtube video tutorial, and saved myself $1500. It is a pain to access the sliding door motor, but I was able to do it without any trouble (and I have zero experience). I would highly recommend these if your sliding van door quit working on you.
