Bought this when we moved to the Midwest to be ready for the winter. Used it 3 times and it worked well. When we turned it on to use it a 4th time, it died. Now we are left hanging and the winter here hasn't ended yet. Horrible quality for the price paid.

This thing is a toy and only works in perfect conditions, such as light fluffy 4" snow. If there is any moisture in the snow or if it's over 6" it will overheat and shut down. I had an older smaller once that outperformed this one.

A complete and utter piece of junk! We got this machine in September last year, in anticpation of another snowy South Dakota winter. As it turned out, we didn't have our first real snow until last week. So I pulled the machine out and got ready to use it for the first time. Then I discovered Problem Number One: the machine required some fine assembly. (By the way, there was no User's Guide in the box.) In warmer weather that wouldn't have been a problem, but when you are trying to manipulate small screws and it's minus 30 outside, you aren't very happy. Then I discovered Problem Number Two: the machine is difficult to start. This particular problem would have been mitigated by the inclusion of the aforementioned missing User's Guide. A number of trial and error attempts (Did I mention that it was minus 30 outside???) and I figured it out. Which brought me to Problem Number Three: the machine is cheaply built. The augers are made of plastic. PLASTIC. (Did I mention that it was minus 30 outside???) Owing to the lack of User's Guide, I was not alerted to this cost-saving measure (cost-saving for the manufacturer, that is). Do you know what happens to plastic when it's minus 30 outside? It gets brittle. Very. Brittle. Five feet into the machine's maiden voyage and all of the auger blades shattered. Which brings us to Problem Number Four: customer service (:::insert wry laugh here:::). Or I should say, the complete lack of customer service? First, they have terrible hours: Monday though Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. That's problematic for working people, which brings us to: Second, it seems that everyone in the country that has the misfortune of owning one of these machines has been trying to reach customer service and they, conveniently, only have one employee in their "call center." Or at least it seemed so. After 5 phone calls, 3 hours of which were spent on hold before hanging up in disgust, and 2 hours of which were spent sitting on hold, before leaving two (never-responded-to) voicemails, that would be, we were assured, returned on the next business day, FINALLY, we got through to someone that promised that (after we filled out a mountain of paperwork) she would be happy to send us replacement parts. Allow me to refresh your memory, Dear Reader. The broken parts were auger blades. Plastic. Auger. Blades. The kind that get very brittle in cold weather. Did I mention that it was minus 30 up here? Look, if you have $150 to spend, flush it down the toilet (it will be less aggravation) or give it a local charity. At least you will feel good about it. Oh, and get out your shovel. Hopefully it isn't made of plastic.

I purchased this 21 inch snow blower as an upgrade to my electric 18 inch, but boy is it not an upgrade. It has low power, it does not remove snow cleanely, it smells like it's burning out, it is weak and does not last long, it is extremely tough to use and hard to push, and it is annoyingly loud.I thought this would help me clear snow, but I'm using just as much effort as if I was shoveling.Do not buy this model, find a different company!

1 1/2 of new wet snow, cleaned up pretty well. First, killer on back, designed to fit someone 5 foot tall not someone 6 foot tall, always in a crouched position. Very difficult to use due to low position of handlebars. If you raised the handles bars to assist the back issues, that would lift the wheels and could not move forward. Second, no matter how tight the knobs for tightening the handlebars could get, they would rattle lose in two minutes or less. Tried to use zip ties to help keep tight, didn't work, even using 5 on each knob area. Very disappointed overall in this product. I will need to return and try some other product.

Easy to assemble. It works great and easy to use.
