This slicer will slice a 2 pound block of Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese (Costco size).Sharp cheddar is a little drier than medium and this “knife blade” cutter leaves a less than smooth cut. It slices thin and doesn’t leave any crumbs. The thickness is maintained throughout the cut. It cleans up easily and is dishwasher safe. No nooks or crannies to trap food. The blade angle is greater than kitchen knives and I don’t think the dishwasher will dull the cutting edge much. The knife is removable and can be sharpened.It’s compact and stores easy.It is also the only slicer I have owned that will handle the 2 lb. loaves.I’m happy with it.

This makes slicing cheese easy. For that matter, it makes slicing veggies and sausages easy too. Dishwasher safe, but give it time to air dry afterwards. It has non slip rubber feet which keep it in place as you are using it. The blade is nice and sharp. It fits in with all our stainless steel appliances.
