I missed the "ONE PIECE" part and thought I got a set.....ok so that part aside, because who sells just one, this thing is awesome. I got this as a gift for my Father-in-law and he loved it. The wooden box it comes in fell apart and so that's a gimmick. But the claw....it's no joke, don't play around with this thing. It's sharp, heavy, great looking, overall awesome. But selling one is dumb.

The build of this Bear Claw Meat Shredder is solid—I’ll give it that. It feels sturdy and well-made, which is what you’d want for something you’re going to be using to tear through meat. But here's the thing: it only comes with one tong. I mean, how am I supposed to hold the meat in place *and* shred it with just one claw? I’m not a bear here—I need two hands to get the job done!It’s just kind of awkward trying to shred with one tool. Sure, the claw does the job, but I found myself wishing I had another one to hold everything in place while I got to work. For the price, I was definitely expecting a pair. At this point, I feel like I’m missing half the product, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.Overall, it's built well, but unless you want to wrestle your food with one hand while trying to shred with the other, I’d suggest looking for a set that comes with two claws. It’s just more practical for the task at hand!

I'm bummed to say the least about the arrival of this single claw when the description states plural claw(s). I could deal with the one claw because this was going to be a gift for my nephew who is a meat enthusiast, but the overall packaging was pretty bad. The box just completely fell into pieces when I opened it up and without some glue I can't put it back together by snapping,. Also the red insert was poorly cut, slipped right out and left residue all over the claw itself. Part of the appeal of this item was the giftable aspect and that is lost completely, so I can't say I would recommend just based on these observations and without using the solo claw.

Having gotten a cheap pair of the plastic claws only to find that they deformed almost immediately when used to lift hot pork butts off the smoker, I went looking for something more sturdy. I liked the fact that this product was solid with no crevices to clean and heavier construction than the wire models that looked like they might bend when used for turkeys or large butts. Only compliant is cost as the cost is per claw, not per pair.

This meat shredder is the real deal. It feels well-made and does the job exceptionally. It is on the pricier side but seems to be worth it. Recommended.

Great meat shredder! Super heavy duty device. Sturdy in the heavy as it is a bit hefty and strong quality. This is not your cheap, plastic style meat shredder. This is a high quality strong material bear claw that makes it super easy to use and shred.

These meat shredding bear claws are solid. The tines won't bend by accident and they don't have the hard to clean hollows of some of the plastic types.Though they are lightweight, these shredders appear to be solid aluminum. They penetrate meat well, making them nearly effortless to use.Note: I would suggest that children be closely supervised if they are allowed to use these. These claws are serious tools and could be very dangerous weapons if misused.All in all, I certainly recommend these for shredding well cooked meat.
