There is not 8 feet of cord. Just under 5 feet. I only needed 1 foot for a paddle holder but I had planned to use the rest on another project. I don't have time to return, order again and hope I get the correct length. I will order from somewhere else.

A drill and a Phillips head screwdriver are the only tools needed. Installed 2 J hooks in minutes. Added the crisscross bungee cord rigging and Now the stern deck matches the bow's. Ready to kayak complete now.

Works good, just as advertised. Came with all the hardware to install although I didn’t use the bolts as I needed pop rivets as I could not get to the inside behind the seat. I will keep the bolts for a future project. Should be good for strapping on gear.
