We use this regularly for boiled eggs and they are so easy to peel. I love that it holds a full dozen eggs and I’ve been able to fit 18 eggs on there.

I make a lot of deviled eggs to take to family dinners. This makes preparing them so much quicker. It’s nice to be able to do a dozen at one time. There was a bit of a learning curve, to know how to get them cooked the way I prefer. When I tried it the first time, the yolks weren’t done as much as I like, so the next time I used a little more water, and they turned out perfect. I also found that if I do two batches in a row, they turn out a little differently, because the unit was already warm after the first use. Would highly recommend this though. I get a lot of use out of it. I have also done only six at a time, and they turned out great too.

My other egg cooker went bad after years of service. I looked at dozens and read many reviews and decided on this one for a couple of reasons. Large Capacity and Accurate Cook Times. After receiving this I put it to the test and it passed, I think I found a winner! It has a large capacity and the water bin has a non-stick coating which makes it easy to clean since we have hard water, anything that is boiled will leave a hard water film of minerals, etc. This wipes up easily and does seem to build up.The steaming process seems to be even whether you have all 12 eggs or four eggs in the cooker. The plastic cover, tray, and other pieces seem to be a thicker more robust plastic, which I like considering my last one in the plastic was very thin and easily cracked if dropped. This doesn't appear that it would do that. One thing I really like about this unit, they don't require you to pierce the egg. I have always thought that piercing the egg was not a good idea for an egg cooker. There are many different things that can go wrong, even contamination from the hole in the shell if put in the fridge. This unit comes with a measuring cup that allows all the different combinations from soft-boiled to hard-boiled without piercing the egg. It also comes with two dual poaching trays. And last, the tray in the lid act as a storage unit in the refrigerator. So far the unit seems to be very reliable, and overall for the price I think is a good bargain. I would recommend this to anybody that needs a large-capacity egg cooker, even if you're not cooking 12 eggs at a time, it still works for smaller amounts of eggs just as well.

Does the job of boiling eggs, including extra-large size, which was one of the reasons I chose this egg cooker, as my previous round unit would not accommodate large, let alone extra-large eggs. There is a catch, though - the eggs have to be positioned on their sides as the plastic cover is not tall enough. One drawback of the design is that the cover handle is very low (as if made for kids' fingers). Another flaw is that the unit doesn't have an Automatic shut-off or even an On/Off button, so one has to be there next to it when the buzzer sounds in order to unplug it. Also, like all other countertop appliances these days, the cord is ridiculously short, 24".

All my life I’ve despised making hard boiled eggs because of peeling difficulties. My kids even did a science project once to see which methods worked best, and they all failed! Enter this amazing small appliance. We’ve had more hard-boiled eggs the last six months because this makes it all so easy! They come out perfect each time, using their directions. I let them cool a bit and then peel them right away, and store them in my own container. There’s never any green, just beautiful yellow/orange and white, with no chunks missing! We usually make a dozen at a time, but have made less and they turned out well. I’ve only used the hard-boil feature, so can’t speak to the poached results. The first time the “done” buzzer went off we were all a bit surprised at the sound, but it works to get you to unplug it ASAP so you have perfect eggs. I wish the lid was a bit taller and wider to hold jumbo eggs better, and that the measuring cup had more permanent markings as the black type seems to be wearing off a bit and we only hand-rinse it. (We do use it a lot though!) But I’ll take that for all the perfectly cooked eggs and easy to peel eggs it has provided for us. It’s easy to use and clean. I no longer dread the whole process! Thank you, Presto!!

I made 12 perfectly, soft boiled eggs the same day I received this, because I was planning on a salad for lunch and love eggs in a tossed salad. It was so easy to use: just put the water in, put the eggs in, latch the cover, & plug it in. The buzzer is loud, I heard it in a different room, but the eggs only took a few minutes, I didnt time it, but it was FAST! I gave the machine 4 stars for two reasons. The handle on the lid is too small, it is long and NARROW, and it will be hot when you take the cover off. There should be a cool resistant knob on top, or at the least the handle needs to be widert. It was hard to grasp it, as it was only about 1/4" wide! The other reason, I wish it had an "on and off" switch, instead of having to plug it in to start & unplug it to stop it. A switch would be much more convenient. But I love the fact it can make up to 12 eggs at a time, and they peeled so EASILY. I would recommend having a pair of (silicone) tongs to take the eggs out of the machine to put them right in a bowl of cold water. Then I just peeled 2 for my salad, & the shells came off in just a few big pieces. Your eggs will be VERY hot, so if you like soft boiled, take them right out of the machine. I particularly like the design/shape as it is long & narrow making it easy to work around on the countertop. Very happy with this machine!!
