This kit is great for breakdowns and making sure you find the right size punch for the pins is easy. When I do maintenance or cleaning this is part of my regular operations every time! I am a high quality tool buyer but for this type of work you need to have finesse and this kit works just fine!

Punch set is complete with a lot of sizes and parts. Unfortunately the metal is not the strongest. When trying to use and just putting. A little force to get new roll pin in, one of the parts I. This bent. I was able to bend it back in shape, but for a tool that is use to force out old roll pins and in new ones. Don’t think this will last long.

I was debating buying a kit like this for a long time since I had some non marring punches and mallets. Just buy it. The roll pin punch that you use for mounting the bolt catch is specifically designed for that one job. It is flattened on one side and rubber coated to protect the lower. It extends past the buffer tube threads so you can easily drive it home. I've built several complete tools from 80% blocks and done so with general tools. Having a kit that has everything specifically designed for just that is such a time saver and no brainer.

Perfect for the hobbyist. A very complete set with all the pins you need, that will get the job done and even includes take-down and pivot pin install tools. This kit was reasonably priced and had more tools than I needed. Reason for four stars instead of five - one pin bent with the first use. (It was the thinnest pin, I bent it back straight and wasn’t a big deal). The hammer feels rather cheap, but again it’s not a big deal because you’re just tapping with it, not pounding nails into wood. I’d recommend this to anyone that wants to get the job done right, only needs to use this occasionally & doesn’t want spend much.

I used this kit to build my lower. Had everything I needed, except I decided to spring for a pivot tool to make setting the detent easier. Tools are good quality, and I appreciated the flat side of the punch for the bolt catch. Definitely worth the money to have the proper tools for building your lower, and this has what you need.
