This replaced our broken bypass piece which was metal. It is plastic so not as sturdy. I don't even notice it when I look at the doors. We had to put it on top of carpet. I don't recall how long the screws were though.

Have two 6 panel wood sliding closet doors, ( bi-folds) that always shook and wiggled while closing. Installed these plastic brackets and it did the trick. The doors are now silent and slide in place without making noise. great product, highly recommend!

I wanted something as sturdy as metal but in the color (brown) to match the color of my floor, couldn't find anything so I ordered this brown plastic guide, and for the price I thought if it didn't work it won't hurt. Well, even though it's plastic it's NOT at all flimsy. It works great, the color is great and exactly as pictured and matched our wooden floors perfectly, so no one notices it's even there! I like that they can be adjusted according to the thickness of the doors and come with the screws and an instructions booklet included. Still it's plastic so of you open your doors gently then this guide works great, but if the doors gets opened in a quick violent way then with time it might give up and break.
